The history books reveal that Barcelona lead the way with 13 Spanish Super Cups, yet holders Real Madrid can draw level should they win on Sunday.
Both clubs held their nerve to advance through to the final on penalties. Barcelona edged out Real Betis following a 2-2 draw, and Real Madrid overcame Valencia after a 1-1 draw.
Bookmakers are having difficulty separating the Spanish giants. La Liga leaders Barcelona can be backed at 6/4 to win in 90 minutes and 4/5 to lift the trophy, which would be their first under Xavi.
Real Madrid are priced at 9/5 to triumph in normal time and 19/20 to lift the trophy, which would be their ninth under Carlo Ancelotti.
Furthermore, Betfair have a draw priced at 9/5 at 90 minutes, while Bet365 offer odds of 11/2 for the match to be decided in extra-time, and 5/1 for penalties.
