Rangers vs. Liverpool Betting Tips: Best bets as Klopp's side travel to Scotland

Live on BT Sports, Rangers host Liverpool in the Champions League this Wednesday at the Ibrox Stadium. The hosts are having a decent season so far in terms of the Scottish League as they sit 2nd just two points behind league leaders Celtic.
It is a different story in the Champions League though, as they have lost all three of their group stage games without scoring a single goal. These two sides met last week at the Anfield where Liverpool were dominant in a 2-0 win, but Rangers will be looking to provide a tougher test to Klopp’s men in front of their supporters.
For Liverpool, it has been an extremely poor start to the season in the league where they sit 10th with just 10 points from their first eight games of the campaign. They were on the losing end of a goal-scoring thriller at the weekend against Arsenal and to make matters worse, two key players Trent Alexander-Arnold and Luis Diaz suffered injuries which ruled them out of this game. They are conceding a lot of goals at the moment which will be a huge concern for Jurgen Klopp but The Reds still look well placed in the Champions League and will take a major step towards qualification with a win here.
An exciting Champions League clash awaits us, and as usual I have you covered with 2 of my best betting angles for this game included in the preview below:
Team News:
Kemar Roofe, Ianis Hagi, Filip Helander, Jon McLaughlin, John Souttar, Tom Lawrence & Nnamdi Oboborh are out for Rangers.
Konate, Kelleher, Curtis Jones, Calvin Ramsey, Robertson, Keita, Oxlade-Chamberlain, Luis Diaz & Trent Alexander-Arnold are out for Liverpool.
Rangers possible starting lineup:

Liverpool possible starting lineup:

Rangers vs Liverpool Tips
- BetBuilder @ 5/6 - 1pt (Bet365) - Selections Below:
- Over 6.5 shots in the match for Rangers
- Over 1 corners in the match for Rangers
- Over 0 goals in the 2nd half for both teams combined
Rangers are averaging 19 shots per game in the league but that number understandably reduces in the Champions League. They managed to hit six shots against Liverpool at Anfield and ten against Napoli at Ibrox.
Back at home they will be expected to create more chances and considering Liverpool are missing key players, I think they can comfortably clear the “Over 6.5 shots” line. They are averaging 8 corners per game at home this season in their league and also managed to get 5 corners in their only home game in the Champions League against Napoli. Rangers will be highly motivated to put up a better fight in front of their supporters against a Liverpool team that has looked shaky in recent weeks and this could lead to corners for Rangers and I think they can get at least two here. As for the goals, there has been a second half goal in all 3/3 Champions League games for both Rangers and Liverpool including their head to head meeting last week. Combining these 3 selections gives us a solid bet builder @ 5/6 and I am happy to take that with a 1pt stake as our main bet for this game.
Two of Liverpool’s last three wins in all competitions have been by a 2-1 scoreline. They beat Rangers 2-0 at Anfield but now back at the Ibrox Stadium I expect Rangers to put up a fight and get at least one goal against a Liverpool defence conceding goals for fun at the moment.
The 2-1 scoreline in favour of Liverpool should go close and looks a cracking bet for out longshot so I am happy to take that with a small 0.25pt stake.
Best of luck if you follow these selections. Please always gamble responsibly.
