Rafa Benitez to Everton? Former Liverpool manager joins Nuno Santo at the top of the betting after odds cut

Rafa Benitez is now as short as evens to become the next Everton manager, meaning he’s the new favourite for the job with Bet Victor.
The former Liverpool boss, available at 16/1 on Wednesday, has been out-of-work since leaving Chinese Super League side Dalian Professional in January.
But The Telegraph now reports that Benitez is keen to return to the Premier League, with Everton considering an appointment for the Spaniard who is back living on Merseyside.
For all Benitez’s credentials, experience, and profile within the game an appointment at Goodison Park is unlikely to be unanimously popular with the Everton faithful given that he spent six years at the helm of Liverpool; a club he led to Champions League and FA Cup glory.
Everton have been searching for a new manager since last week when Carlo Ancelotti abruptly made a shock return to Real Madrid following the departure of Zinedine Zidane.
The Toffees have already spoken to former Wolves boss Nuno Espirito Santo (13/8), who then appeared to be on the cusp of being named Crystal Palace manager only for the Eagles to pull the plug on an appointment due to his demands: this has since led to Nuno returning to the top of the market with multiple bookmakers.
The Sack Race’s Premier League Manager of the Season, David Moyes (16/1), oversaw Everton for 11 years but while the Scot is still being touted as a possible contender for the post, he’s expected to pen a new three-year deal with West Ham who he led to 6th spot and best ever points tally last season.
Other names in the betting include Brighton boss Graham Potter (7/1), the now available-for-hire Christophe Galtier (9/1) whose stock is sky high following his superb Ligue 1 triumph with Lille, and the 12/1 priced Duncan Ferguson.
Eddie Howe can be backed at 14/1, Andrea Pirlo is out at 20/1, while Steve Cooper is a 25/1 outsider.
