Our card tips for your weekend Same Game Multis
It was another near-miss last week for our card treble as Fulham failed to lay a glove on City while under 2.5 cards came in at West Ham v Man Utd and Leicester got their standard 2+ cards. We’re back again for Gameweek 12 and have picked out three card plays, which pays 5/1 as a treble with Bet365.
Mike Dean, Wolves v Aston Villa - Aston Villa Over 1.5 cards (4/6)
We’re starting this week’s card treble with the midlands derby between Wolves and Villa in the Saturday early kick-off. Mike Dean is the man in the middle for this one and continues to fuel his reputation this season with 26 yellow cards, one red and two penalties in just eight games this season.
Villa have the fourth highest yellow card per game average this season and will come up against the pace of Traore, Podence and Neto which I think will see some cynical fouls from the away side. So we’re backing Villa to have two or more cards at 4/6.
Man Utd v Man City - Chris Kavanagh - Man Utd over 2.5 cards (6/5)
Now for the Manchester Derby and Chris Kavanagh is in charge and he boasts an impressive record of 3.57 yellows per game this season. Manchester United will be desperate for a positive performance after being dumped out of the Champions League this week and I expect them to fly out of the traps and put their mark on the game early.
In the last 10 derbies, United have averaged 2.6 yellows per game and with the likes of Fred expected to return, I’m backing Man Utd Over 2.5 cards (6/5)
Andre Marriner, Fulham v Liverpool - Under 2.5 Cards (4/6)
The most chilled out ref in the Prem is in charge of Fulham v Liverpool on Sunday and we’re backing Andre “Dre” Marriner to be stingy with his yellows once again.
This landed in his last game between West Ham and Man Utd and with the lowest-ranked team for cards in the league this season in Liverpool involved with Marriner’s game this weekend, we’re happy to back it again to hopefully land our cards treble
- Mike Dean takes charge of Wolves v Villa and averages 3.25 yellows cards per game this season
- Villa have the fourth highest yellows cards per game this season in the Premier League
- Chris Kavanagh will officiate the Manchester derby and averages 3.57 yellow card per game in the Premier League this season
- In the last 10 Manchester Derbies, United are averaging 2.6 cards per game
- Marriner has the lowest yellow cards per game average in the Premier League of any ref who’s taken charge of 5+ game this season
- Liverpool have the fewest yellow cards in the Premier League this season.
