Brighton vs Manchester United
- Saturday 24th August, 12:30pm, TNT Sports 1
Although they kept a clean sheet on match day 1, United's defensive problems linger and a tricky away visit to the Amex could prove bad timing for the Red Devils, especially after Fabian Hurzeler got off to a fantastic three-goal start with a win over Everton last weekend.
Prediction: Brighton Win
Aston Villa vs Arsenal
- Saturday 24th August, 5:30pm, Sky Sports Main Event
Villa did the double over the Gunners last season - two results that ultimately cost Mikel Arteta's side the title - which they'll want to get back here. Emery's men impressed away at the London Stadium on Saturday evening and we anticipate the pair cancelling each other out in the 5:30pm slot.
Prediction: Draw
Bournemouth vs Newcastle
- Sunday 25th August, 2pm, Sky Sports Main Event
Newcastle's away form left a lot to be desired last season as the Magpies only managed six wins from a possible 19, losing 11 times on the road. Compare that to Bournemouth's record at the Vitality, having drawn six times and averaged 1.42 points per game during the 2023/24 campaign, we fancy the spoils to be shared on the south coast.
Prediction: Draw
Liverpool vs Brentford
- Sunday 25th August, 4:30pm, Sky Sports Main Event
The Arne Slot era began with a win against newbies Ipswich Town at Saturday lunchtime and despite Brentford's impressive 2-1 victory over Crystal Palace, three straightforward wins for the Reds against the Bees at Anfield since the latter's promotion suggests a repeat of this familiar tale on Sunday.
Prediction: Liverpool Win
