Premier League 2023/24 Top Goalscorer Tips: Four each-way prices worth consideration

The wait is over and the new top-flight season is finally here. With most bookmakers paying four places each-way at 1/4 odds in the top scorer market, we’ve picked out a few big-priced fancies who may be worth some consideration this term.
Alexander Isak: 33/1
Newcastle’s Alexander Isak made 17 starts in the Premier League last season, along with a further five appearances from the substitutes bench. Despite injuries in the campaign the Swedish forward still managed 10 league goals.
Isak is one of the most accurate strikers in the division, boasting an impressive shot accuracy of 76% last season. To put that into context, Erling Haaland only hit the target with 56% of his attempts and Harry Kane 63%.
If Isak remains fit for the entirety of the campaign it would be no surprise to see him get close to double of his tally from his debut season and pick up one of the top-four scorer spots at 33/1.
Ollie Watkins: 33/1
After taking the helm at Aston Villa replacing Steven Gerrard in November, Unai Emery won 15 of his 27 league matches. The club look to have made some smart signings this summer in Pau Torres and Moussa Diaby and more progression is expected in the months ahead.
One player who blossomed under Emery since his arrival was Ollie Watkins, who went on a run of 11 goals in 12 matches at the start of the calendar year. In total, Watkins managed 15 league goals and if he can get the ground running in the opening weeks it would be completely feasible that he can improve on his previous haul.
Joao Pedro: 80/1
We now get onto the big prices and the first of two at long-odds is Joao Pedro who made the switch from Watford to Brighton this summer. The Seagulls are normally pretty shrewd in the transfer market and although Joao Pedro may have only scored three goals in his last top-flight campaign with Watford, he arrives in a Roberto de Zerbi that just loves goals.
Only Manchester City (94), Arsenal (88) and Liverpool (75) scored more than Brighton (72) last season. Joao Pedro is still only 21, and with plenty of improvement still to come, he could look a big price come the end of the season with 80/1 on show. There are strong rumours that he will be on penalty duty this term, and with a first game of the season at home to Luton, he will be looking to kick off the campaign with a debut goal.
Dominic Solanke: 200/1
This one may sound a little crazy but hear me out. In 12 of the last 21 Premier League renewals, a player priced at 100/1 or bigger has placed in the top-four scorers.
Bournemouth could be a bit of a surprise package this season and in their new manager Andoni Iraola they have someone in charge who is certainly highly rated after the job he did at Rayo Vallecano, guiding them to a mid-table finish.
Bournemouth have brought in some talented players this summer in Justin Kluivert and Hamed Traore which may well compliment Dominic Solanke who is an eye-watering 200/1 with bet365.
Solanke is Bournemouth’s penalty taker and is sure to start in the main role in attack this season. In what could be a new look Cherries side with plenty of attacking attractive football, Solanke could be worth a bit of loose change each-way and massively improve on his seven goals from last season.
