Premier League Betting: Latest winner prices with rumours of a points deduction rife

Football fans across the globe woke this morning to the news that the European Super League has been announced with ‘12 founding clubs’ from across the continent. Six of those are from the Premier League and off the back of the announcement, rumours have been rife of potential punishments for these clubs.
There’s no details yet on what might happen but there has been some movement in the Premier League Winner market on the Betfair Exchange. Yesterday morning, when our biggest worry for the beautiful game was VAR, Manchester City were priced at 1/100 (1.01) with over £2 million matched at that price on the Betfair Exchange.
Since then Pep Guardiola’s side have drifted out to 1.05 (1/20) and even touched 1.1 (1/10) at one point this morning. As we await a further statement from the Premier League, Leicester City have also shortened in the market.

At the time of writing the Foxes are trading at 29/1 (30.0) after being matched at a high of 999/1 (1000.0). This may be due to punters predicting that Manchester City could well face a points deduction off the back of their actions which would leave it a two horse race between Leicester City and West Ham.
For those interested in a price on the Hammers, SBK currently have David Moyes’ listed on their exchange and can be backed at 49/1 (50.0) after being 149/1 (150.0) earlier on this morning.
The details around this huge story for football are continuing to emerge and escalate quickly and we’ll keep you updated with any major changes to the main markets on our social @BettingOddsUK.
