Porto vs. Inter Milan Tips: Pepe a huge price to be carded in Portugal

The Champions League returns on Tuesday as Porto take on Inter Milan in the second leg of their round of 16 tie. We’ve called on our man Anthony Eadson to provide us with his best bets for the game.
When these two sides met in the first leg, hosts Inter came away with a narrow one goal lead after an 87th-minute Romelu Lukaku goal gave Simone Inzaghi’s side the victory. Portugal did go down to ten in the second half with Otavio being dismissed after a second-half red card and will be hopeful they can turn things around and advance to the last-eight.
After their win two weeks ago, Inter are the bookmakers favourites to qualify at 1/3. Porto can be sided with at 12/5 in the same market, while those who fancy a win in 90 minutes can back the Portuguese side at 6/4. The draw is on offer at 5/2, with a win for Inter being offered at 7/4.

Inter’s defensive woes on the road this season are enough to believe that Porto can find the net on at least one occasion on Tuesday and for our first selection we are backing Mehdi Taremi to find the net anytime.
Available at a current best-price of 11/4 with bet365, Taremi has been sensational for Porto this season, particularly in this competition. The Iranian forward managed five goals in the group stages, bagging a brace away at both Bayer Leverkusen and Club Brugge. The club’s top-scorer this season with a further 13 league goals to his name, Taremi looks a little overpriced here with bet365, while other firms such as SpreadEx go just 6/4.
An old favourite here for our second selection of the evening in the form of Pepe to be carded. Only seven players in the history of the Champions League have picked up more yellow cards in the competition than Pepe with 27.
The veteran of the dark arts, averages a yellow every 327 minutes in Europe’s premier club competition and that alone would be enough to give appeal to the price on show from both Unibet on BetUK. Pair that with the fact that there is a place in the last-eight on the line and it’s easy to see why bet365 and Paddy Power are 13/8 here for this same bet, while BetVictor go even shorter at 11/8.
