Parker vs Chisora Odds: Expect Parker to grind out another win over Del Boy

Saturday night sees another big clash take place in the always entertaining Heavyweight division. New Zealander Joseph Parker takes on Englishman Dereck Chisora for the WBO Inter-Continental title in a repeat of their entertaining clash back in May. We've sent our own pugilist specialist @OddsTerrier into the odds and stats and he's picked out three tips for the prizefighting action.
Where and when is the fight?
Parker vs Chisora II is being held at the AO Arena in Manchester. The event is a Matchroom Boxing promotion and will be streamed live on the Dazn app and website.
The main undercard will start around 7pm
- Carlos Gongora vs. Lerrone Richards; IBO super middleweight title
- Zelfa Barrett vs. Bruno Tarimo; Super featherweight

- David Nyika vs. Anthony Carpin; Heavyweight
Followed by the main event which should ring-walk around 10-10:30pm.
Parker vs Chisora Tips
Rematches in boxing generally end in a very similar or a more magnified result. Take for example Fury v Wilder III, Froch v Groves II or going even further back Collins vs Eubank II. There are of course many exceptions to this rule but in this case I struggle to see it.
Dereck Chisora is an ageing 37-year-old who has lived up to his "War" moniker on more than one occasion and he is all the worse for it. Parker is no world beater but should have enough here to edge past Chisora once again.
First pick up we have gone for the fight to go the full 12 round distance. This is odds-on at every other bookmaker with Paddy Power and Betfair the only outliers at Evens. William Hill are as low as 4/6 for the fighters to make the final bell.
Parker is a skilled boxer who likes to pick his punches off the back foot and that's where he had most of his joy in the first fight against Del Boy. He has stated in interviews this time round that he is expecting a KO but I just can't see him having the power to stop an extremely durable Chisora. He's only been stopped a couple of times in his career and Parker hasn't ever scored a KO against a legitimate world class opponent.
For those exact same reasons my second pick is for Joseph Parker to win on points. Chisora is easy to hit and Parker should have no problems picking him off from range. In the first fight Chisora tired after an initial onslaught and I can see the same thing happening again here if Parker is elusive and uses his feet. The 6/4 on offer with BetVictor is the stand out price here .
Last up we're going to edge our bets a little, with a small stake on Chisora to win in rounds 1-4. I realise I've been talking down Del's chances throughout but if there is any chance of him winning this one then it's likely to be in an early barrage of overhand rights.
Chisora caught Parker cold after only seven seconds in the first bout and he will no doubt come out firing here again to try to finish Parker early. If you look at his record then the majority of his recent KO's have come in the first 4 rounds of the fight and at 18/1 with William Hill I'm happy to place a small covering stake just in case Chisora does pull a rabbit out of the hat.
