NY Red Bulls vs. Inter Miami Betting Tips: Two bets for Messi's MLS debut

Lionel Messi will be making his first MLS appearance this weekend against New York Red Bulls. Messi has taken the league by storm and it’s taken a while to get to his first league game and I’m sure his form will translate over to the league.
Inter Miami are still rock bottom of the league and will need some more heroics from Messi to make a push for playoffs. We’ve had a look at the betting market for Inter Miami’s game against NY Red Bulls and picked our best bets for the action.
NY Red Bulls vs Inter Miami Tips
Inter Miami have been nothing short of sensational since Lionel Messi joined their side. On top of that Sergio Busquets and Jordi Alba have both been tremendous and they’ve built a really solid side to compete in the MLS. This outfit is completely unrecognisable when compared to a couple of months ago where they were stuck at the bottom of the table.
They may still be in the bottom but since the signing of Lionel Messi they have won eight games in a row, before signing Messi, they were on a seven game streak without a loss. You can clearly see how much this side has improved and to have them at 29/20 seems like a gift.
NY Red Bulls are above them in the table but it’s only four places. The New York side have been very disappointing this season and have only recorded seven wins in the league which is two more than Inter Miami.
We’re back again siding with Lionel Messi to score, this time in a more emphatic fashion. The Argentine has proved why he is renowned as the greatest of all time with his move to the MLS as he’s scored a staggering 10 goals in eight games and assisted on three occasions. Like we mentioned previously, he is yet to taste defeat as an Inter Miami player and he has completely transformed this side.b
Messi is no stranger to a worldie and we’re backing him to score a goal from outside the box at 5/1. The World Cup winner is as short as 4/5 for a goal anytime and when you compare that to the 5/1 on offer for him to score from outside the area, it looks like a great bet.
Messi is not on penalty duty for Inter Miami but he is on free-kicks and he is damn good at those. Many regard Messi as the greatest free-kick taker of all time and it’s hard to argue against that, he scored a spectacular one on his debut and a repeat of that would be great for our bet.
