Nottingham Forest vs Tottenham Betting Tips: Two tips for a potential cracker on Sunday

Live on Sky Sports, Nottingham Forest host Tottenham this Sunday at the City Ground at 4.30pm. The hosts have made a respectable start to the season after coming up from the Championship having picked up four points sitting 10th in the league table.
Nottingham Forest vs Tottenham Tips
They started off with a 2-0 loss away to Newcastle but bounced back by beating West Ham 1-0 and then picking up a point against Everton in a game they deserved to win on the balance of play. They will rely on their home support to cause an upset against a much fancied Tottenham side who sit 4th in the league table having picked up 7 points from their first 3 league games.
Conte’s men started off with a 4-1 hammering of Southampton, before picking up a point against rivals Chelsea in dramatic fashion via a Harry Kane injury time equaliser. They also got the better of Wolves 1-0 last week and will look to get closer to the top of the table by continuing their winning run. Based on the bookmakers, this is expected to be a comfortable Tottenham win but I expect Forest to battle hard in front of their supporters and give Spurs a tough game. This is a tricky away game for Conte’s side and I will be staying away from result based bets in my preview.
An exciting Premier League clash awaits us this Sunday and as usual, I have you covered with 2 of my best betting angles for this game included in the preview below:
Team News:
Moussa Niakhate & Omar Richards are out for Forest while Jack Colback is doubtful. No other injuries/suspensions.
Cristian Romero, Oliver Skipp, Lucas Moura & Bryan Gil are doubtful for Tottenham.
Nottingham Forest possible starting lineup:
Henderson; Worrall, Cook, McKenna; Williams, Mangala, O'Brien, Toffolo; Gibbs-White; Johnson, Awoniyi
Tottenham possible starting lineup:
Lloris; Sanchez, Dier, Davies; Emerson, Hojbjerg, Bentancur, Perisic; Kulusevski, Son; Kane
- Under 4 goals in the match for both teams combined
- Over 0 cards in the match for Forest
- Over 0 cards in the match for Tottenham
Nottingham Forest have seen under 4 goals in all 3 of their Premier League games so far this season (100%). They are a tough side to beat at home having already beaten West Ham 1-0 two weeks ago and will be looking to keep this game tight against a strong Tottenham team. Spurs managed to win their game against Wolves 1-0 last week having created an XG of just 1.47. I expect a tense and close game which could very well be decided towards the end of the 2nd half so under 4 goals is a sensible selection as part of our bet-builder.
As for the cards, we have a card-happy ref Craig Pawson in charge and he absolutely loves dishing them out. He dished out 10 cards in Europe midweek and 8 cards in the 2 Premier League games he has been in charge of this season. If the scoreline stays close, we should have no problem in getting a card for each side. Combining these 3 selections gives us a cracking bet-builder and I am happy to take that with a 1pt stake as our main bet for this game.
Bentancur averages the most fouls per game (1.7) for Spurs so far this season and the 2nd most tackles (3.3). He has already picked up 1 yellow card and with Craig Pawson as the ref, I can see him picking up another booking for a mistimed tackle here. Kulusevski has been a revelation since signing for Spurs last season.
He provided 8 assists in just 18 appearances last season and has already provided 1 assist so far this season. Combining these 2 picks gives us an attractive longshot @ 11/1 and I am happy to stake a small 0.25pt on that.
Best of luck if you follow these selections. Please always gamble responsibly.
