Next Leeds Manager Odds: Four options to lead the club in the Championship

Four managers, seven wins, 78 goals conceded, and a final day relegation down to the Championship.
It’s fair to say that the 2022/23 Premier League season was one to forget for Leeds United fans who will now wait to see what summer steps their club take.
Could Sam Allardyce be given a permanent contract or will the club turn to yet another new face?
Below we take a look at four possible names - plus a few others - that could lead Leeds in the Championship next term...
Sam Allardyce
Sam Allardyce failed to win any of his four matches in interim charge, picking up just one point.
It was a disappointing return from the firefighter who has now suffered relegation in his last two jobs, albeit he was dealt a tough quartet of fixtures against eventual champions Man City, top-four Newcastle, Europa Conference League finalists West Ham, and a Harry Kane inspired Spurs.
Big Sam is, however, a two-time Championship promotion-winner and the current 7/2 favourite for the permanent post, hinting on Sunday that he’d be open to remaining at the helm.:
“We need to sit down and discuss the whole infrastructure of the club,” he said after the Spurs defeat. “Recruitment is the number one factor for any manager. You can’t improve a player by 10%; it’s going to be two to three per cent.
“If I do anything more [in management] it will be here and these discussions will happen across the next few days. We have to sit down for a couple of days and thrash it out to make sure both sides can be comfortable. The last thing I want is to walk in and things not go in the direction we agreed.”
Carlos Corberan
Going from Marcelo Bielsa to Big Sam in the space of 14 months was quite the stylistic shift.
Should Leeds wish to reignite the Bielsa flame they could look to his former assistant, Carlos Corberan, who helped the Whites win promotion to the Premier League and enjoyed success with the U23s.
The Spaniard would go on to impressively propel Huddersfield to the Championship play-off final, then not so impressively last just 11 games at trigger-happy Olympiacos, while he’s been overseeing West Brom since October - Leeds would therefore need to poach their former coach from a Championship rival.
At the time of writing, Corberan is available at 10/1 with BetVictor but can still be backed way out at 33/1 (Paddy Power), which seems a huge price given his ties to the club.
Brendan Rodgers
Brendan Rodgers endured a stinker at Leicester this season, losing his job in April with 10 games to go. The Foxes were subsequently relegated alongside Leeds on the final day of the season.
However, there’s no doubt that the experienced Rodgers is a high-quality coach who has enjoyed a superb career to date.
Notable highlights include leading Swansea to the Premier League, taking Liverpool to within a hair's breadth of the title, winning every trophy he contested at Celtic, and most recently that historic FA Cup triumph at Leicester.
Rodgers, 16/1 for Leeds, would be a huge coup at Championship level, although he’s likely to target a Premier League return or a move abroad. The 50-year-old is second favourite for Tottenham and could be an option for Crystal Palace should Roy Hodgson not be offered a new deal.
Steven Gerrard
Linked with Leeds in February, Steven Gerrard is sure to be back in contention this summer.
Gerrard has experienced a mixed start to his managerial career, from the high of propelling Rangers to the Scottish title to falling way short of expectations at Aston Villa who were completely transformed under his successor Unai Emery.
Now Gerrard has had time to reflect on his year at Villa Park, he’ll no doubt embark on his next post with renewed vigor and energy. He'll need to have learned from his difficult stint in the Midlands, which saw the fans turn on him.
Anyone Else?
Former Leeds midfielder Lee Bowyer is currently priced at just 6/1. Out-of-work since July, he's previously managed Birmingham and Charlton.
Like Rodgers, it could be difficult to lure Graham Potter (14/1) down a division, although Patrick Vieira could be a contender at 16/1.
Scott Parker is out at 20/1, alongside Blackburn's Jon Dahl Tomasson, while the club could attempt to go back in for Andoni Iraola who is reportedly set to leave Rayo Vallecano this summer when his contract expires.
