Newcastle vs Crystal Palace Prediction
Newcastle vs Crystal Palace Betting Tips
Newcastle’s hopes of finishing in the top five and securing a place in the Champions League for next season were boosted at the weekend thanks to a 4-1 victory against Manchester United at St James’ Park.
The game was all square at the break, but the Magpies punished the Red Devils’ mistakes in the second half to secure what, in the end, proved to be a comfortable victory over Ruben Amorim’s struggling side.
Crystal Palace also go into this game after facing Mancunian opposition, having squandered a 2-0 lead to lose 5-2 at Manchester City at the weekend.
After that disappointing second-half performance against Pep Guardiola’s side on Saturday, the Eagles are on their travels again this week to somewhere that has not been the happiest of hunting grounds.
Palace have failed to score in any of their last four visits to St James’ Park in all competitions and Newcastle to win to nil looks to be the betting route to go for this one.
Newcastle striker Alexander Isak has been the standout figure for the Magpies this season, with the Swedish star scoring 20 Premier League goals so far this term.
However, the 25-year-old is going through a slight drought, after failing to score in his last two Premier League games against Leicester and Manchester United.
Others have needed to step up and fill the void in the goalscoring department, and Harvey Barnes has done just that.
Scoring against his former club Leicester City, Barnes went on to bag a brace against the Red Devils last time out, and he is well worth backing in the anytime goalscorer market.
