Newcastle vs. Leicester Betting Tips: Best Bets including a 12/1 shout for Monday Night Football

Newcastle face Leicester City in the Premier League on Monday evening and here at BettingOdds.com we’ve provided you with two tips that we think represent value in the betting markets.
After Liverpool dropped points at home to Aston Villa on Saturday, Newcastle’s Champions League spot for next season is all but confirmed. The Magpies have played a game fewer than Klopp’s side in fifth heading into Monday, but also have a better goal difference by seven, meaning it would take two heavy losses and a win for Liverpool on the final day to result in them not playing in europe's elite club competition next term.
Leicester’s season has been in stark contrast to Newcastle and they are on the verge of dropping back down into England's second tier. The Foxes have games against Newcastle and West Ham in the next six days to salvage their season, however most betting sites have them priced at just 1/10 to be relegated, implying a 91% chance that they will be playing Championship football next season.
Newcastle vs Leicester Tips
First up we are backing both James Maddison and Miguel Almiron to each give away one or more fouls in the match, which at the time of writing is available at 19/20 with Paddy Power or Betfair.
Taking a look back at James Maddison’s recent foul totals, he has committed at least one in all of his last nine starts for Dean Smith’s side. Newcastle have plenty of players in their midfield who draw plenty of fouls, none more so than Bruno Guimaraes. Only three players in the Premier League are averaging more fouls per game drawn (2.6) this season than Bruno G and with this in mind, Maddison looks a nice prospect in the fouls market.
We’ll be doubling that up with Miguel Almiron also to give away 1+ foul. The Paraguayan should start here and gave away two fouls last Thursday when Newcastle met Brighton at St James’. Almiron has conceded 1+ foul in seven of his last eight starts for Newcastle and combining him with Maddison pays just below even money at 19/20.
It’s certainly a case of now or never for Leicester and we do expect them to go down with a bit of a fight this evening. We’ve picked out two players to be carded for The Foxes, with the first of those being James Maddison.
No player has collected more yellow cards in the league for Leicester this season than Maddison, who could well be on his way out of the club should they face the drop. With 10 yellows over the course of the campaign and two in his last three, Maddison looks a prime suspect to pick up another here on Monday.
Boubakary Soumare should also have his work cut out for Leicester in midfield. The Frenchman has been cautioned in four of his last five matches and is one of those who can rack up the fouls. With nine bookings in just 24 appearances, including five in just 12 away matches, it would be no surprise to see collect his tenth of the campaign in this huge game for Leicester.
Pairing both James Maddison and Boubakary Soumare to be carded pays 12/1 with bet365.
