Napoli vs. Real Madrid Betting Tips: Best bets including a 24/1 cards double

Real Madrid travel to Napoli on Tuesday evening as Matchday 2 of the Group stage gets underway in Europe’s most prestigious club competition. We’ve asked Anthony Eadson to preview the action and provide us with his best bets.
Serie A Champions Napoli haven’t had the greatest start to their league title defence with 14 points from a possible 21, but they did manage a convincing 4-0 away win over Leece in their most recent outing. Napoli reached the quarter-finals of this competition last season - the deepest they have been into the Champions League knockout phase in their history. They started their campaign with a 2-0 win over Braga two weeks ago and can be backed at 31/20 to get the win against the Spanish side.
After their 3-1 La Liga defeat to Atletico Madrid ten days ago some questions were asked of Los Blancos, however they have responded with a 2-0 win over Las Palmas, followed by a 3-0 victory over Girona. Real left it late to see off Union Berlin on Matchday 1 with man of the moment Jude Bellingham scoring the only goal of the game in the 95th minute. Carlo Ancelotti’s side are 8/1 to lift the Champions League trophy for a 15th time in June and can be sided with at 7/5 to get the better of Napoli.
Napoli vs Real Madrid Tips
Real Madrid have won each of their last eight European matches against Italian opposition, although have only come out on top in seven of their last 23 matches on the road in the Champions League. I’ve decided to steer away from the match result market for this one and for my main play of the evening I’ve taken the 4/5 that is available with Unibet for Jude Bellingham to record Over 0.5 Shots on Target.
It has been one hell of a start to life in the Spanish capital for Jude Bellingham after his switch from Borussia Dortmund. The 20-year-old has scored seven goals in his first eight matches for Real with comparisons even being made to the legendary Zinedine Zidane. I don’t think it is sustainable that he will carry on scoring at this ratio for the remainder of the season, but I think it’s worth noting that he has landed at least one shot on target in nine of his last 10 appearances for club and country.
There is no denying that this is very much a price-play on Bellingham due to Unibet’s rather juicy offering of 4/5 for him to clear the 0.5 line. Betfair and Paddy Power have him priced at just 2/5, while bet365 go slightly bigger at 4/9. I think there is scope for plenty of goals in Naples and backing Bellingham to hit the target looks a nice way in here.
At 24/1, I’ve also had a bit of loose change on both Antonio Rudiger and Giovanni Di Lorenzo to be carded. I fancy Victor Osimhen to be involved in plenty of physical battles with Antonio Rudiger and I think he looks a shade overpriced at 6/1 as a single with Unibet. In his final league season with Chelsea the centre-back was shown nine yellow cards and has started the new campaign with three bookings in his first seven league starts.
Vinicius Junior was one of the most fouled players in Europe’s top-five leagues last season with numerous players picking up cards for bringing him down. Giovanni Di Lorenzo will be the Brazilian attackers direct opponent on Tuesday and despite him yet to see yellow this season I still think he looks a solid prospect to find himself in referee Clement Turpin’s notebook. The French official is one of the better referee’s to have in charge when backing cards and he averages a healthy 5.16 yellows per game across his last six Champions League matches.
