Miami Dolphins vs. Philadelphia Eagles: SNF Predictions, Tyreek Hill Prop Bet, Tips and Odds for Week 7
The Philadelphia Eagles are the reigning NFC champions. The Miami Dolphins have one of the most explosive offences in recent NFL history.
Both of these teams have worthy Super Bowl expectations, and will face off in a titanic Sunday Night Football showdown in Week 7.
The Eagles have the third-best Super Bowl odds at 7/1, while Miami is tied for fourth at 9/1. Both teams are tied for the league’s best record at 5-1 and the oddsmakers expect a competitive clash.
Here is a look at the betting lines for the Sunday Night Football game between the Miami Dolphins and Philadelphia Eagles.
The Dolphins have the superior point-differential and advanced metrics, while the Eagles have the pedigree from making the Super Bowl a season ago.
There is some question about whether Miami can truly hang with elite foes, and I’m happy to take advantage of that uncertainty and choose the upset on Sunday Night Football.
Miami Dolphins vs. Philadelphia Eagles Betting Prediction
The Dolphins are 5-1 on the season, but the wins are against the Chargers, Patriots, Broncos, Giants and Panthers. Meanwhile, the lone loss came via blowout against the Bills.
So even though quarterback Tua Tagovailoa, wide receiver Tyreek Hill and the rest of the offence is dominating, there are doubts because of the competition.
The Eagles, meanwhile, lost their first game of the year last time out against the Jets after several close calls previously.
Both sides of the ball are top-10 in efficiency this season but neither has been truly great. The secondary is a concern for Philadelphia, which plays right into the hands of the Dolphins.
Miami can combat the Eagles’ consistent pressure up front by getting the ball out quick and in the hands of playmakers like Hill and Jaylen Waddle.
The Eagles have a pair of playmakers themselves in A.J. Brown and DeVonta Smith, but quarterback Jalen Hurts has taken a step back this year compared to his dominant 2022 campaign.
Prediction: Dolphins 30, Eagles 27
Prop Bet Pick: Dolphins WR Tyreek Hill Over/Under 97.5 Receiving Yards
Tyreek Hill is in the midst of a special, special season. He has 42 catches for 814 yards and six touchdowns through six games.
No player has ever reached 2,000 receiving yards in a season, but Hill has a solid chance if he stays healthy.
This receiving yardage line is really high but understandably so. Hill has hit triple digits in four of the six games, and in a game that could be a shootout, he should get plenty of targets in this one.
The Dolphins have other weapons but Hill is arguably the best receiver in the game right now, and coach Mike McDaniel has done a great job of getting him the ball in advantageous situations.
Look for that to continue here as Hill gets to 98 or more receiving yards against the Eagles.
