Marcus Rashford Next Club Odds: Prices on Newcastle, Tottenham, Real Madrid, and more

Marcus Rashford faces an uncertain future at Man Utd. A lack of minutes and a loss of form means his Red Devils career is at a crossroads, as we edge closer to the end of the season a summer switch looks increasingly likely. Could the striker, who has 18 months left on his contract, be contemplating a move to pastures new in order to resurrect his career?
Below we check out Rashford’s next club odds and options…
Odds courtesy of Paddy Power and Betfair, and relate to the player signing a contract with a new club before 3rd September 2022
Newcastle: 4/1
Instead of splashing the cash willy nilly, Eddie Howe has recruited shrewdly at Newcastle. His new additions have added quality, experience, and fight while they’ve also lifted the levels of the whole squad. The Toon’s surge away from danger has been a collaborative effort and while there’s still a nervy few months ahead, it looks like they should once again be playing Premier League football next season.
Should this be the case, the club’s billionaire Saudi Arabia owners will undoubtedly be looking to bolster their squad with a few eye-catching new faces in the summer. With Rashford reviewing his options, it will be no surprise if the Toon throw everything they can at the forward. They won’t be able to promise him Champions League football, just yet, but it’s a club who have the financial muscle to make bold strides over the next few years.
Tottenham: 6/1
Antonio Conte is a world-class manager accustomed to winning silverware, he’s no doubt already made it clear to Daniel Levy that summer recruits are essential in order to elevate Tottenham to the next level.
Rashford could well tickle Conte’s fancy as he bids to add depth to his attacking options. Conte, who previously rejuvenated the likes of Romelu Lukaku and Alexis Sanchez, could insert the fire back into Rashford’s belly, something that’s evidently been missing over the last 18 months.
On a side note, Rashford-and-Harry Kane linking up at club level would only be beneficial to England too ahead of the winter World Cup.
Inter Milan: 15/2
Rashford’s former Man Utd teammate Romelu Lukaku jetted off to Inter Milan in 2019 after enduring his own problems at Old Trafford. The move was a spectacular success, with the striker silencing his critics in style, bagging 64 goals in two seasons. He played a key role in Inter’s Scudetto triumph and journey to the Europa League final.
Tammy Abraham is a recent example of an English striker who struggled to nail down a place in the Premier League, but has been in fine form over in Italy, firing in 20 goals in 36 games so far this season at Roma. Rashford could well follow Abraham’s lead, with a spot at the San Siro potentially opening up should Inter’s excellent Lautaro Martinez be lured elsewhere.
Barcelona: 11/1
Could Rashford become the latest Premier League player to join the Xavi revival at Barcelona? We’ve already seen Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Ferran Torres, and Adama Traore make an instant impression in Xavi’s new-look team after their respective winter moves from England. Should Barcelona showcase a summer interest in Rashford, he’ll find a move extremely difficult to turn down. Not many players turn down an offer from Barcelona.
Real Madrid: 12/1
Unless you’ve been hiding under a rock, you’ll be well aware that Real Madrid have their sights set on a summer move for Kylian Mbappe, who seems likely to leave but could well be tempted to stay on at PSG for one more season. A certain Erling Haaland has been hotly linked with Los Blancos too. Rashford won’t be top of the club’s wishlist, however he’ll definitely be one to keep a close eye on should Real fail to land their top targets.
Juventus: 12/1
Another Italian option is Juventus, whose domestic pride has been wounded somewhat over the last 18 months. A top-four finish is far from certain this season, although they look like they’re now starting to click under Max Allegri. Paulo Dybala’s future is up in the air, which could lead to a space opening up in the Old Lady frontline. Should Rashford recapture his form of old, an exciting partnership with Dusan Vlahovic could be on the cards in Turin. There could well be a spot for Paul Pogba too (10/3, Betfair).
Borussia Dortmund: 16/1
Alternatively, a venture off to the Bundesliga could attract the attention of Rashford. Borussia Dortmund has proved to be a successful stomping ground for English starlets: Rashford’s England teammate Jude Bellingham is thriving at the Westfalenstadion, while United’s Jadon Sancho did previously. The club’s energetic, high-tempo, and attacking style could be perfect for Rashford, who is desperate to rediscover his form and eye for goal.
PSG
PSG is surprisingly not priced up in the market, yet, but that doesn’t mean a move isn’t likely. While it’s tough to envision Rashford getting a starting spot in an attacking line-up featuring Lionel Messi, Neymar, and Mbappe, he could find himself on the club’s radar should Mbappe depart for Real Madrid. Rashford’s been linked with a move to Paris before, and has previously sparkled in high-profile matches between the Parisians and United.
Will Marcus Rashford make the England squad?
Rashford’s drop in form and lack of playing time has subsequently put his place in Gareth Southgate’s England squad at risk.
The Three Lions have an abundance of exciting attacking options and Rashford could well be the fall guy when Southgate selects his 2022 World Cup England Squad.
Rashford, who could reportedly be dropped for the upcoming March internationals, remains a red-hot 1/6 shot to make the squad for Qatar while he’s priced at 3/1 to start the first match of the tournament.
