Manchester United fans might finally have their prayers answered as it looks like the Glazers are finally ready to sell the club and a number of reports are now suggesting that Sheikh Jassim has successfully purchased the club. Qatar newspapers have already started publishing congratulations articles in the press so it looks like this one could be completed.

What does this mean for Manchester United? Well whilst the Glazers weren’t exactly stingy with their money, they were notorious for taking money out of the club and investing in all the wrong areas. Their transfer business in the past 10 years has been questionable to say the least and their rumoured new Qatar owner has promised to invest in all the right areas. Could this mean that world class talent could be on its way to Old Trafford? Well we’ve looked at five transfers that could happen this summer for Manchester United along with the betting sites odds for said transfer.

If the betting sites are anything to go off it looks like Mason Mount’s time at Chelsea is coming to an end as some are pricing him as short as 1/5 to join Manchester United this summer. The deal is expected to be valued at around £55m and could add some much needed reinforcements to Manchester United’s midfield.

United have had some unfortunate injuries in the middle this season with Eriksen missing the latter stages of the season and Donny van De Beek getting a brutal season ending injury, pair that with Casemiro’s questionable disciplinary record, you’ve got a midfield that is rotated fairly often.
United are also rumoured to be offloading Fred to Fulham this window and Scott McTominay has been loosely linked with a move to Newcastle. If those two are to go you need to get someone else in. They’ll also be back in the Champions League this season and Mason Mount has already proved that he is a serious threat in Europe with Chelsea’s Champions League win in the 20/21 season. 

Atalanta’s Danish wonderkid Rasmus Hojlund has been the subject to a number of rumours this summer and the most concrete one looks to be Manchester United. The striker managed to score 16 goals this season but his most impressive stat has to be his five goals scored for Denmark in the four games he has played.

Manchester United are desperate for a traditional striker after they have reportedly opted out of signing Wout Weghorst on a permanent deal. Their main target was rumoured to be Harry Kane but his services look to have caught the eye of Real Madrid who are now without their main man Karim Benzema.

The betting sites are making Manchester United 13/8 to sign Hojlund this summer and if the hype is to be believed for this 20-year-old, Manchester United might just have sorted their attacking issues.

Now as we mentioned earlier, Harry Kane was rumoured to be Man Utd’s number one target. Erik ten Hag has been full of praise for the Tottenham striker but it’s looking more out of touch as the transfer window has started. 

Man Utd were previously as short as 1/2 to sign Kane this summer but have since drifted to 2/1. Could it be that Spurs’ asking price for their captain is too high? Most likely. Well that’s where these rumoured new owners can come in and make a statement. 

Yes £100m sounds bonkers for a player reaching 30-years-old but Man Utd have made more questionable moves in the transfer market. All jokes aside, he’s exactly what United need with guaranteed goals and heaps of Premier League experience and he will definitely be competing for more trophies at Manchester United than Tottenham Hotspur.

Neymar is another player that has been linked with a move to Old Trafford this summer and what a statement it would be for new owners to secure one of the biggest stars in world football. Yes Neymar may be approaching the latter stages of his career but he has proved time and time again that he is one of the greats of the game and there’s no doubt in many people's minds that he will be able to adapt to the Premier League.

Man Utd are actually a fairly short price at 5/2 to sign Neymar this summer and it could be a huge signing. Man Utd are still one of the biggest clubs in the world and even if they aren’t as successful anymore, their pulling power has never been more apparent when they managed to secure Casemiro and Varane from Real Madrid. United are lacking that huge star they’re used to having and who knows, maybe Neymar could fill that void.

Now this one is a bit of a stretch but could Kylian Mbappe be on his way to the Theatre of Dreams? Probably not. But it’s fun to dream of Haaland and Mbappe going shot for shot for the Premier League golden boot.
