Man City vs. Brighton Betting Tips: Back goals for the home side on Saturday

The Premier League Champions return to action at home to Brighton on Saturday, in one of two 3pm kick-offs in the league.
Man City vs Brighton Tips
October has proven to be a topsy turvy month for Manchester City, who started it off in blistering fashion. A 6-3 Manchester Derby win was followed by a 5-0 and a 4-0 victory at home to Copenhagen and Southampton. Their last two games have provided small hiccups, however, with a 0-0 draw in the reverse game in Denmark, which then led on to their 1-0 defeat away at Liverpool.
Pep Guardiola will be keen for a side to put on a show in this fixture, and he will be buoyed by the return to the matchday squad of John Stones, after some shaky defensive mistakes in recent outings.
Roberto De Zerbi hasn’t had the best start to life as Brighton manager, and his job isn’t about to get any easier. He’s the first Albion manager since 1987 to remain winless in his first four league games, and he comes up against a City side who have won each of their last nine home league games, where they’ve scored at least three on every occasion.
As ever, we’ve looked ahead to the fixture, and picked out two bets for it.
Starting off our two bets, we turn to Man City’s own homegrown diamond to deliver the goods. Foden loves playing against the Seagulls, having scored two more goals against them than he has vs any other side.
Six direct goal contributions in six games against Brighton, he’s scored in each of his last four games when facing the visitors, and with six goals in 10 league games already this campaign, he’ll be confident of extending that record on Saturday.
Next up, we’re looking to the home side to get back to their rampaging selves against The Seagulls. Man City have won all five of their home league games this season, averaging a whopping 4.8 goals. Furthermore, City have won each of their last nine league games at the Etihad Stadium, scoring at least three in every one, and will be looking to become the first side since Aston Villa in the early 1930’s to make it 10.
City have won their last eight league games against Brighton, including all five in the Premier League era, and given their failure to score against Liverpool last weekend, The Seagulls will be fearing that they’re on the end of an attacking avalanche.
