Man City vs Tottenham Prediction, Odds and Lineups: Back Erling Haaland in 7/2 double at the Etihad
Manchester City do battle with Tottenham Hotspur in the Premier League in this evening's televised match, live on Sky Sports 1.
Tipster Wizard has identified his best bets for the game, including a 7/2 double featuring Erling Haaland.
Man City vs Tottenham Predictions
Pep Guardiola’s men sit second in the league table with 23 points, five behind leaders Liverpool as they lost back-to-back league games against Bournemouth and Brighton on the road. Despite the five-point gap, they cannot be written off for the title at such an early stage but they cannot afford to slip up if they are to push for a record fifth consecutive title.
As for Ange Postecoglu’s Tottenham, they sit 10th in the league table with 16 points, but are just three points behind Arsenal who sit in the final Champions League spot. They have been strong at home but struggled away from home, having won just once on the road in the Premier League this season. Their last two away trips in the league were against Crystal Palace and Brighton, both of which they lost by a one goal margin and they will be hoping to end their losing streak against the Champions having already beaten them in the Carabao Cup at the end of last month.
However, Tottenham do have a decent recent record at the Etihad Stadium, having won once, drawn once and lost once in their last three league meetings, with all three fixtures seeing at least five goals scored. These two sides have been part of entertaining goal-fests in recent seasons and we could be in for another end to end game which will be great for neutrals.
A blockbuster Premier League clash awaits us, and I have included my two best bets for the clash in the preview below:
Pep Guardiola lost four games in a row for the first time in his managerial career as his City side went down 2-1 at Brighton. However, all four of these losses were away from home and back at the Etihad Stadium they boast a near-perfect record with four wins and a draw in their last five league games.
They are on a run of four wins in a row at the Etihad and will be desperate to break their losing streak after the international break to try and catch up with Liverpool who are five points clear at the top of the table. If City are to defend their title, they absolutely need a result here and with main man Kevin De Bruyne back, I expect them to walk away with all three points against a Tottenham side who have lost their last three games on the road and were beaten by Ipswich Town right before the international break at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
As for Kulusevski, he is averaging the second most fouls per game (1.7) for Tottenham in the Premier League this season and has committed at least one foul in nine of his 11 league appearances so far this season. He leads the charts for most fouls committed for his club (19) and has committed a foul in his last six league games in a row.
Man City vs Tottenham Betting Offer
You have the opportunity to back Man City at at 30/1 or Tottenham at 40/1 to win on Sunday.
All you need to do is sign up to Betano, place a minimum £1 bet on Man City vs Tottenham match and pick your winner.
Erling Haaland is the Premier League top scorer with 12 goals in 11 league appearances so far this season. He scored in his last game for Manchester City before the international break against Brighton and found the back of the net a staggering four times in just two Nations League fixtures for Norway over this period. He scored a brace the last time these two sides played each other in the Premier League and with Kevin De Bruyne returning, he will have ample opportunities to keep his supreme goalscoring run going.
As for Bissouma, he is expected to start in midfield for Tottenham with the suspension of Rodrigo Bentancur. He has been booked in two of his last four appearances for Tottenham in all competitions and has been carded five times in just 12 games for Tottenham in all competitions overall this season. He was booked in the cup game against Manchester City earlier this season and he loves a cynical foul.
Combining these two selections gives us a cracking double at 7/2 which we will take with a small 0.25pt stake as our second bet for this massive Premier League clash. Backing with PaddyPower also gives us the super-sub advantage where if our players get subbed, the bet rolls on to the player replacing him.
Best of luck if you follow these selections. Please always gamble responsibly.
