Man City vs. Man United Betting Tips: Best bets for the FA Cup Final at Wembley
Manchester City go up against their rivals Manchester United in the FA Cup Final at the Wembley Stadium this Saturday at 3pm and we’ve got Tipster Wizard in the tipping hot seat with his best bets including an 8/1 poke.
Guardiola’s men already have one trophy in the bag after claiming the Premier League title for the third consecutive year, finishing five points ahead of Arteta’s Arsenal side that pushed them all the way.
The Citizens have had their eyes on this final as well as the Champions League final in recent weeks, which is the reason for rotated lineups in their final three league games where they could only win once. However, their strongest possible lineup is expected to feature here as they look to complete a treble for the first time in their history.
As for Manchester United, they finished the league season in third place which secured them Champions League football for next term. They also come into this game in fantastic form having won their last four on the bounce.
United will be playing their 21st FA Cup, the joint-most of any team in the history of this competition alongside Arsenal. The Gunners are the only side to have won more (14) FA Cups than Manchester United (12) and their FA Cup head to head record against Manchester City should give them confidence going into this game as they have won five of their last six games against them in this competition.
Man City vs Man United Tips
- Over 2 cards in the match
- Bruno Fernandes Over 0.5 shots in the match
- Match result will be Man City or Draw
There have been at least three cards in six of their last seven head to head meetings. FA Cup finals historically average just over four cards per game and considering this is a massive derby, we should see a lot of aggressive tackles and cynical fouls.
Manchester United will be determined not to let their rivals take another step towards doing a treble and that should mean we could be in for a heated affair.
As for Bruno Fernandes, he is averaging 2.5 shots per game for United this season and loves shooting from range. He has registered two shots in both meetings against Manchester City this season and will be expected to play the full 90 minutes here.
Finally, Manchester City have a perfect domestic cup finals record under Guardiola, winning five out of five. Having also won three of their last four meetings against United, I fully expect them to be strong enough to at least get a draw here for our Bet Builder. Combining these three selections gives us a solid bet builder @ 4/5 and I am happy to stake 1pt on that as our main pick for this game.
Bruno Fernandes has been booked a total of 13 times in all competitions this season including a yellow card in the 6-3 defeat to Manchester City earlier this campaign. He has committed two or more fouls in the last six Manchester derbies and is always charged up in these big games.
As for De Bruyne, he is leading the assists charts for Manchester City with 25 in all competitions and provided an assist in both meetings against Manchester United this season. Combining these two selections gives us a cracking longshot double at 8/1. I’ll be having a small 0.25pt stake on that as our second pick for this game.
