Liverpool vs Man Utd Predictions
Arne Slot’s men are having an incredible season so far, sitting six points clear at the top of the table with a game in hand as well as topping the table in the Champions League.
Since the 1-0 home loss to Nottingham Forest, Liverpool have gone 23 games unbeaten in all competitions, winning 20 of them. They are the top scorers with 45 goals scored and possess the joint-best defence with just 17 goals conceded.
Having thrashed West Ham 5-0 last week, they will be full of confidence heading into this important clash against Ruben Amorim’s men and will be hoping for another commanding win.
As for Manchester United, they are having an abysmal season, sitting 14th in the league table with just 22 points after 19 games.
They are on a run of four losses in a row in all competitions and five losses in their last six league games. Their last three games in the Premier League have seen them collect zero points, concede seven goals and not score a single goal. They are vulnerable defensively, struggling to score goals and now head to the toughest away ground in the Premier League against the league-leaders who are charging towards the Premier League title.
Manchester United have failed to beat Liverpool in their last nine visits to Anfield, scoring just one goal across these nine games. They were beaten 7-0 here back in 2023 and 4-0 in 2022, and we could be in for another routine win for the league leaders.
Alexis Mac Allister is averaging the most fouls per game (1.8) for Liverpool in the Premier League this season and has committed at least one foul in 19 of his 20 starts across the Premier League and Champions League for Liverpool this season. In recent weeks, his foul numbers have increased even further as he has committed 3, 5, 2 & 3 fouls in his last four Premier League appearances. The last time he came up against United, he committed a foul too.
Kobbie Mainoo is averaging the most fouls per game (1.5) for Manchester United this season and apart from the game against Tottenham where he only played 45 minutes, he has committed a foul in 11 of his 12 Premier League appearances. The last time he came up against Liverpool, he committed two fouls and was shown a yellow card. Up against an incredibly tough Liverpool side, he will be have a tough job at the heart of United’s midfield.
As for Mohamed Salah, he is the most in-form attacker in the world at the moment and the current top goalscorer of the Premier League. He is averaging a huge 3.9 shots per game this season, having registered at least two shots in all 18/18 of his Premier League appearances this season. The last time he faced United, he hit three shots and scored a goal in man of the match display.

Luis Diaz has been a major threat in the attacking third for Liverpool in recent weeks, scoring three goals in his last two league appearances.
Playing in the centre forward position, he is also a threat in the air and he scored a header against Tottenham from a beautiful Trent Alexander Arnold cross.
He also scored a header in the 3-0 win at Manchester United last season and with United conceding four headed goals in just their last four league games, this looks like a huge price for Diaz to get a header in the back of the net.
Best of luck if you follow these selections. Please always gamble responsibly.
