Liverpool vs Arsenal Prediction
Liverpool vs Arsenal Preview
Since losing 1-0 at home to Nottingham Forest back in September, Arne Slot’s men have been on an incredible run of form at home, unbeaten in their last 15 league games here and winning their last seven consecutive home games.
The last time they played here, they ran riot in a 5-1 win over Tottenham sealing the title and now face an Arsenal side who were knocked out of the Champions League in midweek by PSG in a narrow 2-1 loss. Arteta’s men are now without a win in their last 4 games in all competitions, losing their last three consecutive games. However, the Gunners are on a 12-game unbeaten streak away from home, last losing to Newcastle back in November 2024.
Arsenal’s qualification for next year’s Champions League is not mathematically confirmed yet, so they will be aiming to get a positive result here against the Champions. These two sides met earlier this season in a thrilling 2-2 draw and I am expecting another highly competitive Premier League clash this time around.
Liverpool vs Arsenal Betting Tips
Liverpool are the Premier League top scorers having scored 81 goals so far this season in 35 games, averaging 2.3 goals per game.
They have scored in their last 15 consecutive home games, and now having won the title they will continue to play attacking football, which should result in them finding the back of the net.
Liverpool have also scored in their last eight consecutive head to head meetings against Arsenal in all competitions and considering Arsenal’s players were in action against PSG in midweek, fatigue could also play its part.
Mohamed Salah is Premier League’s top scorer with 28 goals, fully motivated to hit the 30 goal mark.
He is averaging 3.5 shots per game in the Premier League this season and will be eager to get on the score sheet again here. He attempted three shots in the 2-2 draw against Arsenal earlier this season, also scoring a goal.
He has attempted at least one shot in 35/35 appearances so far this season so this is a solid inclusion in the bet builder.
As for cards, we have a very lenient referee in Anthony Taylor in charge who is averaging the least cards given per game (2.9) this season.
These two sides rank 16th and 17th respectively in the standings for picking up the most yellow cards, averaging under two cards per game.
Considering this game is pretty much a dead rubber, I don’t expect too many hard tackles going in and as a result we should see a very low number of cards dished out.
Mo Salah is leading the assists leaderboard with 18 assists in 35 league appearances this season.
He is just two assists away from equalling Thierry Henry and Kevin De Bruyne’s record of 20 assists in a season and with three games left till the end of the season, he will look to get that record and at 3/1 there is enough value to get involved with a small 0.25pt stake as our second bet for this game.
