Liverpool vs. Union Saint-Gilloise Betting Tips: Darwin Nunez backed to score

Liverpool return to action on Thursday night for the first time since their controversial defeat to Tottenham.

The Reds lock horns with Belgian side Union Saint-Gilloise at Anfield, which can be viewed live on TNT Sports 1 at 8pm.

Darwin Nunez has been used sparingly in the Premier League, yet he’s scored three goals in 221 minutes of action. In this competition, the frontman scored from the spot and grabbed an assist, racking up five shots in the last game. 

The Uruguayan goals come in gluts, he is a confidence player and with two in his last two starts, he will be brimming with confidence. 

This should be a one-sided game. You would imagine Union will come to Anfield, sit deep, and try and get something on the counter. This dynamic should see the hosts have plenty of territory and put plenty of balls into the box. 

Nunez is not a player famed for his ariel prowess but his stature does make him a threat. 

Domestically, a quarter of his goals have come via his head which is why the 15/2 about him to score a header appeals here.
