Liverpool vs. Leicester Betting Tips: Two Foxes-based punts for Wednesday

2nd in the Premier League square off with 1st in the Championship on Wednesday night as the League Cup gifts us a gem of a third round tie at Anfield.
Many are positioning Jurgen Klopp's side as real title contenders this season given their impressive unbeaten start. After drawing with Chelsea on the opening weekend, Liverpool have won six straight matches across the Premier League and Europa League.
As for Leicester, The Foxes have had an equally noteworthy beginning with Enzo Maresca at the helm. Having dropped out of the English top tier last term, the East Midlanders are top of the Championship on goal difference, with fourth placed Hull the only team to take points from the league leaders.
LFC are red hot favourites for this tie at 4/9 in the match result market, while the travellers can be backed at 6/1. A draw is available at 4/1 inside 90 minutes, however, a winner must be determined on the night by penalties if regular time cannot separate the pair.
Liverpool vs Leicester Tips
No Leicester player - and only seven others in the league have him beaten - has let off more shots this term than Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall with 24.
Seven of those have hit the target, with the 25-year-old proving his worth in front of goal by contributing two goals and three assists in his side's opening eight matches.
While Leicester were still a top-flight side during the previous campaign, Dewsbury-Hall managed this line in games with Chelsea, Newcastle, Man Utd and in his visit to Anfield on December 30th.
Given what little sample size we have to go by, the likes of Harvey Elliott, Wataru Endo, Stefan Bajcetic and Ryan Gravenberch do not warrant being shorter in the market than their Leicester counterpart.
As has been documented recently, Liverpool are falling behind in most of their games before finding a route back in and finishing strongly.
In fact, during this winning run, Aston Villa are the only team who've failed to take the lead when facing Liverpool. The Villans didn't manage to score at all in their trip to Anfield at the start of the month and remain the only club not to beat Alisson this season.
Barring Leicester's solitary 1-0 defeat to Hull, they've scored the first goal in eight of their nine fixtures under Enzo Maresca.
Like we saw in Austria on Thursday against LASK, Liverpool are still very defensively vulnerable. And if further changes are made against The Foxes like they were for that game, then the away team have a very good opportunity of beating LFC's high line and taking the lead at Anfield.
