Liverpool vs. Aston Villa Betting Tips: 8/1 fancy for Anfield clash

Liverpool lock horns with Aston Villa on Sunday which promises to be an exciting clash at Anfield.

Liverpool vs Aston Villa Tips
Anfield is the destination, which should only mean one thing, and that’s goals. Unai Emery’s Villa are in town on Sunday in a clash that should be a thriller.
Liverpool has claimed seven points from their opening three matches this campaign. Striker Darwin Nunez earned all three points practically by himself against Newcastle last weekend after he scored two late goals off the bench in a late 2-1 win. Alisson made a number of saves during the 90, something that we’ve seen time and time again from the Brazilian.
Villa suffered a heavy beating on the opening day at St James’ Park. They were hit for five that afternoon but defensively they were a shambles and didn’t help themselves in the slightest.
Moussa Diaby was an eye-catching signing from Villa over the summer and has already shown his quality in the Premier League. The Frenchman has bagged twice as well as recording an assist in the opening three outings.
I just love Darwin Nunez, he’s just amazing to watch in all aspects. He’s had very little game time so far this season, make that 41 minutes exactly, but, after his match-winning performance last weekend, he’s got to be a guaranteed starter here.
The Uruguayan averaged 2 Shots on Target per 90 last season, an impressive stat given he appeared in 29 matches. His odds are short but you’ve got to fancy him to trouble the Villa keeper at least once.
Diaby recorded 2.7 shots per 90 in the Bundesliga last campaign, he’s taken 3,3 and 2 shots so far this season for his new club and I struggle to see that trend ending at Anfield.
Goals are expected here. Over 2.5 Goals is priced at 2/5 while BTTS is no bigger than 1/2; you get the gist. These two clubs are exciting to watch and this is the perfect game for carnage, in terms of goals that is.
Offensively, Liverpool are as strong as anyone in the league. We don’t really need to name their attacking options, even Dominik Szoboszlai and Alexis Mac Allister are a threat. Defensively is where they struggle, and even more so this weekend as Virgil van Dijk and Ibrahima Konate are both unavailable.
Villa are somewhat alike the Reds, strong in attack but you can’t quite trust them at the opposite end. They’ve enjoyed an impressive transfer window but things may take a little while to gel.
Goals are expected, but the prices are extremely short so the proposed selection at 8/1 appeals. Liverpool have conceded in the first 45 in all three matches whilst Villa have bagged within 20 minutes in each of their outings.
Here’s to an exciting game of football with hopefully a winner or two, bring on the goals.
