Leicester City vs West Ham Prediction, Odds and Betting Tips: Two bets for Tuesday night kick-off at King Power

Leicester’s clash with West Ham is one of two matches on Tuesday night. Tom Winch has previewed the match and supplied his best bets.
Leicester City vs West Ham Predictions
The Hammers are five points ahead of their upcoming opponents. Ruud van Nistelrooy will be in the home dugout for the very first time. The Foxes would love for an immediate ‘manager bounce’. I’m not sure if this Leicester side remains in the Premier League. West Ham’s summer spending spree hasn’t worked in their favour so far. They’re inconsistent and have won back-to-back matches just once in 2024.
It’s tough to feel confident backing either side in this encounter. Leicester are 15/8, whilst the visitors are slight favourites at 6/4. The Premier League newcomers have won twice across the 24/25 campaign. Since that previous victory, Leicester have earned a single point from five outings. Julen Lopetegui’s side have won four of 13. They were excellent in their previous away day, winning 2-0 at St. James’ Park. Arsenal quickly brought them down to earth. It was an awesome first half in the capital, not so much for West Ham as they were beaten 5-2.
I can’t hang my hat on a selection from the major markets. Both sides have vulnerabilities. The pair rank 3rd and 5th in the xGA standings, respectively. Leicester managed a single clean sheet, and West Ham have managed three. Losing isn’t an option for either side, given their position in the table. Whatever the final result may be, I wouldn’t be surprised.
Jarrod Bowen is one of West Ham’s most consistent performers. The club captain scored three Premier League goals this term and provided as many assists. Bowen’s data is relatively consistent. He’s started all 13 games for his side this term. There’s no doubt that Jarrod will feature from the off at the King Power on Tuesday night. The Englishman will perform well and should be involved with plenty of offensive action. Bowen bagged 16 league goals last season, an average of 0.48 per 90. The figure for this term is exactly half at 0.24.
I’m sure Bowen can register a SOT against a lacklustre Leicester side. The winger has registered an attempt on target in nine matches from 13. Villa, Brentford, Spurs and Arsenal have all prevented Bowen from hitting the target. It’s clear that those sides are far stronger than the Foxes. The price is appealing, given the match-up and success rate.
Wilfred Ndidi was a sought-after player a few years ago when Leicester was among the top sides in the Premier League. The Nigerian joined the Foxes in 2017, featuring 287 times, scoring 18 goals. Like Jarrod Bowen, Ndidi has started every match this term and has been a key figure in central midfield. His foul-committed stats are superb.
Leicester’s number six has committed 24 fouls this season, exactly 2.00 per 90. He’s big and strong and is often too aggressive. The referee has penalised Wilf in 11 matches from 13 this season, including all six at this venue. His foul numbers read: 1,2,1,2,1 & 4. Bowen, Paqueta, Soler and Summerville are fouled often. The Nigerian has his work cut out in the middle of the park. Backing the Leicester man to commit a foul isn’t a huge ask.

As mentioned, I don’t rate either team at the back. Leicester conceded four at the weekend, whilst West Ham went one better, letting in five. Ruud van Nistelrooy’s appointment will give the players a boost. West Ham have more than enough firepower to score multiple times.
Both will want to win. It’s a clash where both will be confident that they can earn all three points. Facundo Buonanotte has impressed, whilst Jamie Vardy can pose a threat despite his age. Summerville can create chances from acute angles.
In a game where leaning towards one side is difficult, backing an end-to-end affair is a fun angle to cheer on.
