League Two Winner Odds 2023/24: Bookmakers taking no chances on Stockport
We are now a few months into the 2023/24 League Two season and we’ve taken a look at who are the latest movers and shakers in the League Winner betting.
Stockport County - 9/4
It has been a strong start for Stockport County who sit top of the table after a quarter of the campaign. Before a ball was kicked this season punters could have grabbed 6/1 about County being crowned League Two winners, however those odds have now been slashed all the way into 9/4. Stockport are the current favourites and will be looking to erase the disappointment of last term when they lost out on penalties to Carlisle in the play-off final.
Mansfield - 7/2
Mansfield are the biggest movers at the head of the market after being priced as big as 20/1 with a couple of bookmakers to top the English fourth-tier. Daniel Kemp’s goals have helped fire the Stags into the automatic promotion places, with Nigel Clough’s men being the only unbeaten side in the division at this stage. Most betting sites go 7/2 in the outright winner market, implying a 22% chance of success.
Wrexham - 7/2
Pre-season favourites Wrexham have not had it all their own way since returning to League Two and have already conceded five goals on three separate occasions this term. Phil Parkinson’s side have still only suffered two defeats despite only three sides having shipped more goals at this stage. Bookmakers still fancy the Hollywood fairytale to continue at the Racecourse and remain at just 7/2 for Wrexham to win consecutive league titles.
Notts County - 9/2
Notts County have also had issues at the back in the first quarter of the campaign letting in an average of 1.92 goals per game. However at the other end of the pitch David McGoldrick and Macaulay Langstaff have been firing in the goals with Luke Williams’ side currently two points off the top of the table. After being available at 15/2 in this market two months ago, Notts County have seen their odds clipped into 9/2 with most firms.
Swindon - 12/1
The Robins have enjoyed a positive start to 2023/24 and currently occupy the play-off places after 25% of the season. No player in the division has bagged more than Jake Young with an impressive goals per 90 average of 1.02. Swindon were as big as 28/1 in the summer and have seen their odds tumble into a general 12/1 with most trusted betting sites.
Others
We then have quite a jump in the market to AFC Wimbledon and Gillingham who can both be sided with at 25/1 for League Two glory. The duo are then followed by Bradford City at 40/1 and MK Dons at 80/1, with no other team being priced at below three figures.
It is worth noting that three places each-way are available with most bookmakers at 1/4 odds. Find prices for all 24 teams in League Two below.
