League Two Relegation Odds 2023/24: Crawley favourites for a return to the National League
With just a few days remaining until the start of the Football League season, punters across the land are picking out those ante-post selections. Today at BettingOdds.com we’ve taken a look at the League Two Relegation Odds, with the prices quoted below from bet365
Crawley: 3/1
It is worth remembering that just two sides are relegated from League Two and at the head of the market for the 2023/24 campaign is Crawley. At 3/1, bookmakers are expecting a tough season ahead, with those odds implying a 25% chance of dropping out of the Football League.
Harrogate Town: 7/2
Next up we have Harrogate Town. The Yorkshire Club were priced at 5/1 in this market 12 months ago but secured their League Two status for another year, finishing nine points above the drop zone. This time round they are slightly shorter at 7/2 with most firms.
Morecambe: 9/2
Morecambe are the first of the newly relegated sides who dropped down from League One last term. Bookmakers feel back-to-back relegations are a real possibility, with the Shrimps priced at just 9/2 to return to the National League for the first time since 2007.
Crewe: 5/1
Crewe could only manage a bottom half finish in League Two last season and are predicted to struggle in the 2023/24 campaign. Bet365 go just 5/1 that Alexandra finish inside the bottom-two and suffer relegation.
Colchester: 5/1
Before a ball was kicked last season Colchester were 6/1 to be relegated, however a turbulent season followed with a 20th place finish. United finished six points above the drop and this campaign they are slightly shorter in the betting at 5/1.
Barrow: 11/2
The bookmakers favourites in this market 12 months ago, Barrow defied the odds finishing ninth in the table. A push towards the play-offs is not fancied by many this season, with 11/2 on show for a return to non-league football.
Newport County: 13/2
With odds of 13/2 on show with most bookmakers, there is a 13% implied chance that Newport will be relegated in 2023/24. The Welsh side could only manage 15th place last time out, finishing 14 points above the relegation zone.
AFC Wimbledon: 7/1
AFC Wimbledon were promoted from the Conference back in 2011, and have been in the fourth-tier of English football since their relegation from League One in 2022. For those who fancy them to drop out of the football league in the season ahead, 7/1 is available.
Sutton United: 7/1
Also priced at 7/1 are Sutton United. The club have lost some of their key players this summer and could struggle to better their 14th placed finish in the 2023/24 season.
Forest Green: 9/1
Rounding off the top 10 teams in the betting we have Forest Green Rovers. The Gloucestershire club lost 20 of their final 25 league matches as they were relegated from League One last season with a measly 27 points. For those who fancy siding with back-to-back relegations, 9/1 is on show.
