Lazio vs. Inter Milan Betting Tips: Goals on the menu in tasty Serie A duel

Inter Milan look to maintain their 100% winning start to the new Serie A season when they travel to an unbeaten Lazio on Friday night, in a game that will be screened live on BT Sport 1 at 7.45pm. A point would take Inter from 2nd to top spot, while a win for the hosts would see them jump from 8th to the summit. Below we’ve picked out two bets for the tasty clash…
Lazio vs Inter Milan Tips
Inter opened up the season with a late 2-1 win at Lecce, followed by a 3-0 win at home to Spezia, which puts them second in the table. Only leaders Napoli have scored more (7) than The Nerazzurri’s five goals so far.
Lazio recovered from a sixth-minute red card to come from behind and beat Bologna 2-1, then played out a stalemate with Torino last weekend, meaning they are currently 8th in the table with four points to their name.
Inter are the odds-on favourites to come away with a win, Lazio look an attractive price at 3/1 considering they've taken seven points off Inter in their last three home games, whereas a draw is available at 29/10 which would see both teams extend their unbeaten starts to the season.
If there’s one thing you can count on in this fixture it’s goals. Both teams have found the back of the next in each of the last five meetings - producing a total of 16 goals - while four of those clashes have gone over 2.5 goals.
Three of Serie A’s top marksmen will be involved in Friday night’s action, including Lazio’s Capocannoniere winner Ciro Immobile and the Inter duo of Lautaro Martinez and Romelu Lukaku, all of whom will harbour hopes of topping the goalscoring charts come the end of the season.
Given the recent high-scoring duels and the calibre of strikers on the field, BTTS is unsurprisingly pretty short at 8/13, however there could be a little bit of value to be had in the 3/1 on offer for BTTS in the first-half, which landed in the previous fixture between the teams. Fast-starting Inter have scored in the opening half of 12 of their last 13 matches, including both of their 22/23 games so far, while Lazio have scored in the opening 45 minutes in six of their last 10 games.
To continue on the Goals Train, 15/4 stands out for BTTS and the match to end in a draw. It’s difficult to pick a concrete winner from these two, and while Inter head into the game as favourites, they’ve not won at Lazio in their last three visits, although BTTS has landed in each encounter.
In fact, Lazio can draw on a solid home record, having lost just once in front of their own fans since February - which was a last second goal to 2021/22 champions AC Milan. Meanwhile, Inter have suffered just one defeat in their last 19 games stretching back to February.
As mentioned, there’s an abundance of attacking quality on the pitch and we expect that to result in a fair share of goals, with the honours shared in Rome. If you’re after something a bit extra, then a 2-2 scoreline springs out at 27/2 with SBK.
