LASK v Tottenham Tips: Spurs can ease to knockout qualification in Austria

The Europa League group stage is the most enthralling football competition you’re likely to watch - said no one ever. But here at BettingOdds.com we’re here to ignite your Thursday night with three tips for a big game in Group J, where a win for Spurs would see them through to the knockout stages.
In the time of writing on Wednesday, Mourinho has confirmed Spurs have new injury concerns for this one with Harry Kane, Sergio Reguilón, Carlos Vinicius and Erik Lamela all out as well as Toby Alderweireld, who has a long term issue, and Joe Rodon who is not registered to play. Lask also have key players out including their top scorer Marko Raguz who previously scored six goals in 11 games this season.
The bookies have given Spurs a 62% chance of beating LASK in Austria at 8/13, with the draw 7/2 and a shock win for the home side at 15/4. This one is on at the earlier time of 5.55pm UK time and will be live on BT Sport 2.
18 games into the 2020/21 season and Jose Mourinho is proving form is temporary and class is permanent, as he’s managed to build a squad who are currently firing on all cylinders, top of the Premier League, joint top of their Europa League group and through to the quarter-finals of the League Cup. He’s managed to add attacking strength-in-depth but more impressively has shored up the defence which had had four clean sheets in their last four.
I expect Davinson Sanchez to start and be partnered by Japhet Tanganga, sandwiched by the experienced Internationals Matt Doherty and Ben Davies. This looks a strong back four to me and without Lask’s main goal-threat, I think Spurs to win to nil looks a solid bet at 12/5 with Bet365.
For my second punt for this one I’m backing Lucas Moura to bag and Peter Michorl to be carded at 10/1. It goes to show how much Spurs’ strength-in-depth has improved when they can afford to play Moura and Bale in the Europa League and looking at the Brazilian’s record in European competition, I fancy him to score as part of this double.
Moura has scored more than any Spurs player in the Europa League this season with three goals from three shots on target so I’m going to take the 12/5 he scores instead of a SoT price. I’m doubling this up with the Austrian sides midfield destroyer Peter Michorl to be carded. Michorl has an impressive booking record so far this season with five in 15 games in all comps, that’s one in three games and he’s already seen yellow twice in Europe. He hasn’t had one in six games, so with his team fighting for their life to stay in Europe, my gut says this will drop in this game to hopefully land the double.
Finally, I’ve put up a treble at a bigger price which sees two players to register a shot on target and another Austrian to be booked.
Starting with Tottenham’s forgotten man Dele Alli, who has got a massive point to prove after dramatically dropping down the pecking order. Despite struggling for minutes this season, when he has played he has a decent shot on target record, hitting the target in three out of the five games, as well as scoring in the Europa League against Maccabi Haifa.
Next up I’m adding Andreas Gruber to the Same Game Multi who will be part of an attacking front-three and after averaging one shot on target in each Europa League game this campaign, those stats are good enough for me - He goes in the SGM. I’m rounding off this bet with Philipp Wiesinger to be cautioned at 13/5. He’ll be playing on the right side of the defence as part of a back-three and will find himself against the electric Lucas Moura whose pace should be too hot to handle. He’s already been booked four times this season and I fancy him to get his fifth against a strong Spurs side.
