Kylian Mbappe Next Club Odds: Where will the French superstar end up this summer?

A saga which has seemingly gone on forever now, will definitely come to a close this summer. We’re of course talking about the curious case of Kylian Mbappe, and where the French superstar will be playing his club football this summer.
Ever since he burst onto the scene at Monaco, fans around the world have been dreaming of ways that they could afford the forward, and then how he’d fit into their respective teams. So there’s only one thing left to find out. Will he stay at PSG after all? Will he look to create a new Galacticos at Real Madrid? Could he end up in the Premier League? We’ve had a look at the odds for his club after the summer transfer window, courtesy of Paddy Power.
Real Madrid: 2/11
The long-term favourites to sign Mbappe, Real Madrid. Had it not been for the financial implications caused by the pandemic, you wouldn’t be wrong in thinking that the Frenchman could already be playing for Los Blancos. Search Mbappe and Real Madrid on Google and you’ll find hundreds of pictures of a young Kylian in his bedroom surrounded by Madrid posters. With his idol being Cristiano Ronaldo growing up, you can see why all roads seem to be leaning towards the Bernabeu, and that shows with the odds.
However, there has been more doubt than ever in recent weeks about whether he could join, with worries over his astronomical wages and agents fees etc, with rumours coming out of Madrid seemingly dropping out of the race for Erling Haaland, with could impact Mbappe’s decision.
Not to sign a contract with any other club (to stay at PSG): 10/3
Next up in the betting, we have Mbappe not to sign a contract with any other club, and stay at PSG, at 10/3. The obvious attractions that come with staying at the French club are the more or less guarantees of trophies each season, although they’re still missing that elusive Champions League title. The promise of playing with Messi and Neymar for longer will of course be tempting, and recent murmurs from the press suggest that PSG are trying everything they can to convince him to stay.
I wouldn’t rule this one out completely, and it may be worth a punt at 10/3, compared to the 7/4 offered with other bookmakers.
Liverpool: 15/2
As a City fan, this is one that I really hope doesn’t come to fruition. Mbappe has spoken publicly about his admiration for Klopp and Liverpool as a team in recent years, after facing them on several occasions. Despite their fans protestations about how they go about business, Klopp has spent a lot of money during his time in charge, but ultimately I feel this would be a step too far.
As a football fan it’d be nice to see Mbappe grace our shores permanently, but if there’s questions over whether they’re willing to pay Salah what he’s after, the 15/2 for Mbappe given his reported demands seems way too short to me.
Man City: 20/1
The last of the somewhat plausible options for Mbappe to join this summer, the mega-rich Premier League champions, Manchester City. Now obviously City could afford Mbappe, and the idea of playing under Pep Guardiola, and with the list of names that feature at the Etihad is no doubt a major pull for any player.
However, as a City fan, and knowing how they tend to do business, I imagine they most likely won’t be in the market for Mbappe. Obviously the fact that he would be a free transfer would definitely peak their interest, but the fact that Mbappe’s wages, signing bonuses and agent fees would most likely shatter their current way of paying players, lends myself to think that they’ll swerve away from it.
He should be part of the French contingent at Qatar 2022 and France's World Cup Winner Odds are currently 13/2 at the time of writing.
