Juventus vs Man City Prediction, Odds and Lineups: Haaland tipped in 6/1 double
The stage is set for tonight's Champions League clash between Juventus and Man City at the Allianz Stadium, which gets underway at 8pm on TNT Sports 2.
Tom Winch has previewed the match and provided his best bets, including a 6/1 anytime goalscorer double. With both teams bringing plenty of attacking firepower, there’s potential for a high-scoring affair, and Tom’s tips could help you capitalise on the value.
Juventus vs Man City Predictions
Juventus have proven to be tough to beat this season. Thiago Motta’s side have lost just once across 20 matches in all competitions. Their 2-2 draw with Bologna over the weekend was their 11th stalemate of the campaign. Teun Koopmeiners opened his account in Juventus colours, whilst Dusan Vlahovic returned after a spell on the sidelines.
Man City’s struggles continued on Saturday afternoon. Pep’s men have won once in nine and are winless in six consecutive away days.
City and Juventus are level on points after five matches in this competition. With Juve’s record, I don’t really want to back against them. They’re unbeaten in Serie A and boast the best xGA figure. Performances in Europe haven’t been as convincing. Juventus have allowed 1.04xG or more in four of their five outings. Motta’s side have earned a single clean sheet which arrived against Aston Villa in what was a controversial ending.
Despite City’s slump, the offensive output has been impressive. The English club have accumulated 2.1xG or more in all five matches in the competition. Sporting defeated City 4-1, and Feyenoord fought back from three, a priced that looks short.
Manchester City have achieved two shutouts on their travels this term. The first arrived on the opening day of the season. Slovan Bratislava failed to find the back of the net on the first day of October. It’s now seven straight games where the English side have conceded and six on the bounce where they’ve shipped multiple goals.
I think Juventus can find the back of the net on Wednesday night. They have a talented attacking quartet. Francisco Conceicao and Kenan Yildiz are likely to start on either flank, and Teun Koopmeiners will play behind the talented Serbian Dusan Vlahovic. The Italian side will fancy their chances against a troubled City defence.
Dusan Vlahovic is a handful. The Serbian centre-forward averages 3.88 shots per 90 across 13 Serie A appearances. That figure rises to 4.14 when playing in Turin. His Champions League stats are just as impressive: Juve’s number nine has played four times in this competition and has recorded 13 shots, scoring three times. Dusan has recorded multiple shots on three occasions. I’m confident he can unleash two attempts against an underwhelming Manchester City.
The away side hasn't been watertight. Pep’s side have allowed nine or more shots in eight of their ten away days across the Premier League and Champions League. Crystal Palace racked up 12 shots on Saturday afternoon. Combining a pro-Juventus angle and a lively striker in the shooting department makes a nice selection.

In a game where I'm reluctant to side with either team, backing the most likely goalscorers at 6/1 looks like a decent alternative.
I’ve highlighted Vlahovic’s shooting statistics. He’s scoring 0.51 goals per 90 in Italy and 0.85 per 90 in the Champions League. He’s physical, quick and will be eager to show what he’s about. That Manchester City defence is there for the taking.
Erling Haaland. That’s all I really need to say. The Norwegian has 108 goals for City in 119 appearances. It’s 13 in 15 Premier League matches this term and five in as many games in this competition. Both forwards are on penalty responsibilities, a bonus to our selection.
With BTTS trending at odds, the price on offer for either centre forward to find the back of the net is one that I can’t ignore.
