India vs. England Betting Tips: Back Jasprit Bumrah in the Top Wicket Taker market

India will hope to maintain their 100% record when they take on an England side that are on the brink of elimination from the Cricket World Cup. It’s a must win match for England against the league leaders in what looks to be a very tough match.

Rohit Sharma - Man of the Match
India have started the 2023 Cricket World Cup in fine form, winning their opening five matches and sitting top of the group stage by two clear points. It’s been in stark contrast to England’s performance, with the reigning champions winning just one game from their five matches.
Rohit Sharma has been instrumental to the performance of India, with the elite batsman hitting 311 runs, so far. That total puts his fourth in the top run scorer list and fifth in the list of strike rates for the tournament.
His opening display, against Australia, was poor with Sharma being dismissed for a duck but he’s come back firing with big runs totals in his other four matches. He’s hit more sixes than any other player at the tournament, with 17, and has added to that with 33 fours.
A price of 7/1 with BetMGM represents huge value and, if Sharma is firing again, that price could end up being much too short.
Top Wicker Taker - Jasprit Bumrah
Jasprit Bumrah has shown his worth at this tournament, taking 11 wickets from five innings so far. That includes a huge four wicket haul against Afghanistan but his consistency has been remarkable, with the fast bowler taking at least one wicket in each match.
He’s also taken three maidens, the highest total within the India squad and has the fourth best average at the tournament, with 16.27. Combined with the third best economy rate (3.80) at the tournament, it’s easy to see why Bumrah leads the way when it comes to the top wicket taker odds against England.
India will be searching for a sixth straight win, one that would all but assure their progress, whilst England know that anything other than a victory will see their defence of the World Cup over.
