Guinea-Bissau vs Egypt Odds: We're backing the Pharoahs to edge this one

Saturday evening sees an intriguing Group D clash in the Africa Cup of Nations as Egypt attempt to jump-start their campaign into life following a 1-0 loss to Nigeria in the opening round of fixtures. They take on a Guinea-Bissau side that had a disappointing 0-0 draw with outsiders Sudan in their first match. Both sides will be looking for their first win here and the game is being broadcast on Sky Sports live at 19:00. Our man OddsTerrier has studied this tie and has picked out two bets for your perusal.
The betting for this fixture looks fairly clear cut. Egypt are big favourites to win here and are around the 2/5 mark. The draw is 3/1 and the Bissau-Guinean's are around 9/1 to pull off the shock. Egypt looked really poor in their first outing and will be desperate to get some points on the board. Whether they do so will depend heavily on whether they can provide some support to Mo Salah, who cut a very frustrated and isolated figure against Nigeria.
Guinea-Bissau vs Egypt Tips
First up we're taking a short priced bet in the Total Goals market and are siding with the under 2.5 goals. 12 of the 14 games played so far in AFCON 2021 have seen under 1.5 goals land and we expect this to be another tight one. Egypt only managed four shots in their game vs Nigeria and Guinea-Bissau hardly looked fluent vs Sudan in a dour 0-0 draw. We expect Egypt to have enough to get past the Sudanese here but can't see the 2.5 goal line being breached in the process. It's 4/7 with bet365 to remain under 2.5 goals.
As mentioned above we fully expect Egypt to win here. They are ranked 45th by FIFA in comparison to Guinea-Bissau who are 106th in the world. Whereas the Egyptians couldn't get any time or space against the Nigerians, they should get more time on the ball here to be able to get the ball into dangerous areas and allow Salah to cause some trouble. Salah barely got a look in in the opening game but surely he will get more joy here. He has scored 23 goals in 32 appearances this year and will be dying to get on the scoresheet again here.
That said we don't see The Pharoahs turning over Guinea-Bissau. They are pretty solid and will be hard to break down. They have drawn their last three games 0-0 since switching to a 4-1-4-1 formation.
With this in mind we are taking Egypt to win by the solitary goal. The 1-0 scoreline has happened so often in the AFCON that it's as low as 39/10. We still think this is the likely score.
