How To Bet On The Grand National

There are loads of different ways to bet on the Grand National but the most common bet types are a win bet or an each-way bet.

A win bet is very simple. If your horse wins, you'll get paid out at the odds taken. If it finishes anywhere else your bet will be a loser.

An each-way bet gives you a bit of cover in that half of your total stake goes on the horse to win and half on the horse to place. Depending on the bookmaker you bet with, your horse will finish in the places if it finishes in the first 4-7 and you'll likely get paid out at 1/5 the odds of the horse. So if.a 10/1 shot was placed, the place part of the bet would be paid out at 2/1.
