France Euro Tips and Betting Odds

Welcome to BettingOdds.com's Euro 2021 profile series, where we'll be counting down to next summer's tournament with an in-depth look a the betting opportunities for each of the countries involved.
France to make it back-to-back major international tournament wins?
After enjoying a memorable few years at major international tournaments, France will head into next summer's European Championships full of confidence in their ability to win the tournament. Les Bleus are regular features in the final stages of both the Euro's and the World Cup, winning the latter in 2018 after defeating Croatia in the final.
They came to within touching distance of winning their first European Championship since 2000 four years ago but were beaten by Portugal in extra-time thanks to a long-range strike from Eder. At 6/1 to go the whole hog at Euro 2021, Didier Deschamps' side could be a good bet given the amount of quality they have pulsating through their squad; with the likes of Kylian Mbappe, Antoine Griezmann and N'Golo Kante all possessing the ability to win tournaments like these almost individually.

France's outright odds at Euro 2021
France's odds in the Euro winner betting market are currently 6/1, though that price may change from now until the tournament begins depending on how they fare in their upcoming Nations League campaign.
The two-time world champions were typically emphatic throughout qualifying, finishing top of their group after winning eight and drawing one (losing one) of their 10 games. It must be said, though, that their group was not the strongest - with Turkey, Iceland, Albania, Moldova and Andorra their opponents throughout qualifying so you would have expected them to have made fairly light work of it.
Since the Nations League resumed at the start of September, France have hit the ground running with two wins from two against Sweden (1-0) and Croatia (4-2). They are a side in form and partnered with their history at major international tournaments, and the squad depth they have available you have to feel confident in their ability to go the distance at Euro 2021 next summer.
Games against reigning European champions Portugal, Croatia and Sweden approaching before the end of 2021 will provide France with more opportunities to build momentum ahead of next year's competition, with the results of each of those matches having the potential to either increase or decrease their outright odds so keep a close eye on the market.
Who will be France's key men at Euro 2021?
France have one of the strongest squads in world football, with a number of the planet's best footballers at manager Didier Deschamps' disposal.
The likes of Chelsea midfielder N'Golo Kante - who played a pivotal role in Les Bleus' World Cup triumph in 2018 - is one of them, while Barcelona's Antoine Griezmann, Manchester United's Anthony Martial and Chelsea's Olivier Giroud (France's top goalscorer in qualifying with six) will also be relied upon heavily to deliver in an attacking sense.

No player has been directly involved in more goals in the 2018 World Cup knockout stages than Antoine Griezmann:

🅰️ 2 assists

The main attraction is of course Paris Saint-Germain forward Kylian Mbappe, though. The world's brightest prospect, who possesses an almost inhumane amount of talent, was one of the key factors contributing towards France's World Cup win in Russia, and next summer he will have to be on song if they are to stand any chance of lifting the trophy.
Mbappe once again shone for PSG last term before the season was drawn to an abrupt halt due to the coronavirus pandemic, providing 30 goals and 19 assists in all competitions as the Parisians yet again claimed the Ligue 1 title and made it through to the Champions League final.
This term, the 21-year-old's involvement has been restricted due to him contracting Covid-19 after the UCL final. However, upon his return to action at the weekend Mbappe had no problems in finding the back of the net, helping his side to a 3-0 win over Nice.
Another strong season is expected of Mbappe, and should he replicate the form he has displayed over the previous two/three seasons then there are plenty of reasons for us to be excited about his involvement at Euro 2021.
The young Frenchman is currently priced at odds of 11/1 in the Euro top goalscorer betting market, which I think could prove to be a pretty shrewd bet given he notched four at the 2018 World Cup - finishing just two goals behind England's Golden Boot winner Harry Kane.
Meanwhile, Mbappe's teammate Antoine Griezmann is currently priced at 20/1 in the market, and Olivier Giroud is an outside fancy at 28/1.
