France Women vs. Brazil Women Betting Tips: Two bets for blockbuster battle in Group F
France and Brazil do battle in Group F at Brisbane's Lang Park on Saturday (11am) in a blockbuster group stage clash at the Women's World Cup.
Here at BettingOdds, we've enjoyed some recent success in our football tipping previews, now we bid to bring you two more successful bets for what promises to be an exciting clash between two countries bidding to go deep into the tournament.
Brazil rocketed out of the Group F blocks, smashing Panama for four in their opening game thanks to a superb Ary Borges hat-trick and a stunning team goal finished by Bia Zaneratto.
It was an utterly dominant display from Brazil who had 32 shots and 73% of the possession against the World Cup debutants.
Brazil have now won all eight of their opening game matches at World Cups with the 4-0 victory putting the South American champions top of the group, two points ahead of France who were surprisingly held to a goalless draw by Jamaica.
Ranked 38 places higher than their opponents in the World Rankings, the frustrated French were unable to make the breakthrough. They will need to locate their shooting boots against Brazil on Saturday, otherwise, they could potentially be looking at a shock group stage exit.
France can be backed at 7/4 to bounce back with a win, Brazil are 17/10 to make it two wins from two games, with a draw available at 9/4.
France Women vs Brazil Women Tips
Brazil were brilliant against Panama but will be in for a far sterner test against France, despite the latter failing to impress against Jamaica.
Bookmakers' are having difficulting splitting them both in the betting, which does make a draw stand-out at 9/4.
The draw holds plenty of appeal at that price given that Brazil don't lose often - only Canada, England, and the States have beaten them in their last 19 matches - while France know that a defeat could be very damaging for their chances of progression so I don't expect them to take too many tricks against Brazil.
Furthermore, France have never lost to Brazil in 11 encounters, five of which have been drawn.
Ary Borges will be absolutely bouncing following her performance against Panama. Not many people score a hat-trick on their World Cup debut but she did just that, and also unselfishly registered an assist with a clever backheel.
Borges, who is now leading the race for the Golden Boot, has scored four goals in her last three matches for Brazil, which includes the decisive goal in an impressive 2-1 win over Germany in April; a side that is expected to go far at the tournament.
The 23-year-old will now be targeting another goal-scoring performance against France with an attractive 9/2 on offer for her to find the back of the net.
