Football Accumulator Tips: 40/1 Acca for Saturday's World Cup Quarter-Finals

Two World Cup quarter-final matches take place on Saturday with England looking to make it to the semi-finals of a third consecutive major tournament. Morocco and Portugal get things underway at 3pm, before The Three Lions take on France in a mouthwatering clash at 7pm. Here at BettingOdds.com, we’ve put together our favourite fancies and have combined them into a 40/1 accumulator.
World Cup Acca Tips
Morocco have the opportunity to become the first ever African nation to reach the last-four in a World Cup tournament on Saturday, and The Atlas Lions are sure to be putting their bodies on the line in order to stand a chance against a strong Portugal side.
Before Friday’s quarter-finals, only Jurrien Timber of The Netherlands has committed more fouls than Hakim Ziyech at this World Cup. In total, the Chelsea man has made 11 fouls, with totals in his four matches of 4,2,1 and 4. This bet has landed in three of his four tournament matches and with plenty of defensive work expected against Portugal, we see no reason why he won’t clear the 2+ fouls line again.
Goncalo Ramos stole the headlines in Portugal’s 6-1 demolition of Switzerland on Tuesday evening after being selected to start the game over Cristiano Ronaldo. The 21-year-old could not have wished for a better game in his first World Cup start, scoring a hat-trick in one of the most memorable matches in Qatar.
At club level, Ramos has been banging them in for Benfica this season with nine goals in 11 appearances in the Portuguese top-flight this campaign. After that stunning hat-trick against the Swiss confidence will be high and despite Morocco proving difficult to break down so far we believe he can strike again on Saturday.
Next up we move to England’s meeting with France and first up are targeting Kyle Walker to commit two or more fouls. A large part of our thinking behind this one is that right-back Walker will be the direct opponent of the dangerous Kylian Mbappe.
The current top-scorer at the tournament with five goals, Mbappe has scored a brace against Denmark and most recently against Poland in the round of 16. England will know the importance of stopping him and it would be no surprise to see Walker commit a couple of fouls in the process.
Rounding off this 40/1 acca is Aurelien Tchouameni to also commit 2+ fouls. No player has committed more fouls so far at the World Cup for France than Tchouameni who leads the way with fellow midfielder Adrien Rabiot. We think England could end up pushed deep by this France side and will try to employ the counter attack With this in mind, Tchouameni stopping those fast breaks with a few cynical fouls could well be a feature and including him with the other three picks takes us up to 40/1.
