Leeds vs Millwall - Leeds Win
We kick things off at Elland Road where in-form Leeds host fellow Championship outfit Millwall.
Simply put, Leeds have been electric over the past few months, with Daniel Farke’s side currently enjoying a 14-game unbeaten run in all competitions dating back to the start of December. Their home form has been particularly impressive, with 13 wins and a draw from their last 14 at Elland Road, including a thunderous 7-0 thrashing of Cardiff City last weekend.
Millwall have picked up form of late with three straight wins over the bottom-half Championship trio of Luton, Portsmouth and QPR, however I expect this spirited run to come to an end on Saturday against a Leeds side that are impossible to back against at the moment.
Wigan vs Fulham - Over 2.5 Fulham Goals
Fulham are heavy favourites at 6/25 to overcome Wigan, who sit 51 places below them in the league pyramid.
The Latics have struggled at home, losing three of their last six and five of their last 10, including a 3-0 defeat to League One leaders Birmingham City last month.
Fulham put four past Championship side Watford in the third round and have impressed on the road this season, beating the likes of Newcastle, Chelsea, and Nottingham Forest, while securing draws at Anfield and the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
Despite potential squad rotation on Saturday, Marco Silva’s side boasts plenty of quality and I expect them to deliver a comprehensive win, with over 2.5 goals for the visitors appealing at 21/10.
Stoke vs Cardiff - Both Teams To Score
Stoke and Cardiff meet at the bet365 Stadium in an all-Championship clash that looks tough to call.
Stoke’s new boss Mark Robins has made a solid start, losing just once in six games, and oversaw an impressive win at Sunderland in the previous round.
Cardiff, meanwhile, were on an eight-game unbeaten run before suffering a 7-0 thrashing against Leeds last weekend.
Rather than backing a winner, Both Teams to Score stands out here, which is a bet that has landed in four of Stoke’s last five games and seven of Cardiff’s last 10.
Birmingham vs Newcastle - Newcastle Win & Both Teams To Score
An intriguing tussle awaits us at St Andrew's where League One leaders Birmingham City look to test their credentials against the Premier League’s Newcastle.
The Blues have built a four-point lead at the top of League One, with two games in hand, prompting bookmakers to slash their promotion odds to 1/500. However, their 18-game unbeaten run faces a serious threat this weekend as an in-form Newcastle arrive in the Midlands.
Eddie Howe’s side are full of swagger after dispatching Arsenal 2-0 to reach their second Carabao Cup final in three seasons. The Magpies have also won their last five consecutive away games, including victories at Arsenal, Tottenham, and Manchester United.
Birmingham have found the net in 35 of their 38 games this season, so they should provide a competitive challenge. However, with Newcastle’s quality and momentum, the Premier League side will be expected to get the job done and progress to the latter stages of another domestic cup competition.
