Football Accumulator Tips: Three selections across the Champions League and EFL Trophy
Wednesday has football coming from all angles with the Champions League, EFL Trophy, and some women's Arnold Clark Cup. We'll take a look through today's betting market and pick out an accumulator for the action
Leipzig double chance
Leipzig are having yet another solid season in the Champions League and are slowly becoming a household name in the European competition. They'll host Manchester City who are the favourites to win the whole tournament, and the odds suggest this could be an easy trip to Germany for the Premier League side.
However, I believe that City could be in for a shock in this game given how good Leipzig are at home at the moment. RB Leipzig have only lost one of their last 15 home games in all competitions and given Manchester City's abysmal record of just one win in their last five away trips, the price for Leipzig looks extremely attractive.
City have recently lost on away trips such as Southampton, Manchester United, and Tottenham Hotspur, they also only managed to secure one point against Nottingham Forest. If they can't be beating teams like Forest and Southampton, they're going to be in for a shock when they face Leipzig. You can get the home side or draw at Evens and I think that's a solid bet for the day
Lukaku to score anytime
Inter Milan will be hosting Porto in their Champions League round of 16 match and with the home side’s current form, they come into this as the odds-on favourite for the match.
When looking at the two sides you can agree with the odds, Inter Milan are on a great run at the moment and have only suffered one defeat in their last 10 games, and whilst Porto are also on a great run, they still don’t find themselves as the best team in Portugal.
You won’t get much value in backing Inter Milan at 8/11 but you could get some really decent value backing Romelu Lukaku to score anytime at 21/10 with BetUK. Lukaku has found his way back into the Inter Milan squad after injury concerns and is looking in line to start this game. In his sole Champions League game this season he scored, and that was only a seven-minute cameo.
21/10 seems a very generous price for a player like Lukaku to score when the team he is playing on is so favoured.
Bolton to beat Accrington
Bolton have finally come to life in League one and have rocketed up to fourth place following a run of eight wins in 10 games. They’re now stamping their authority on the league and a move up to the Championship is definitely on the cards with this type of form. On the other side, it’s quite the opposite for Accrington Stanley who finds themselves right down in 21st in League One.
Bolton have already made this away trip once this season and they managed to win 3-2, given how both teams have changed in that time, Bolton should be up for a comfortable victory in this one.
The away side are priced at 8/11 for this one and whilst it’s a shorter price than other selections on today’s treble, it’s one I’m fairly confident in.
Adding all these three selections comes out at a 9/1 treble with BetUK and that’s mainly due to them being the best price on Lukaku to score anytime. For those following along we wish you the best of luck, and please, make sure to gamble responsibly.
