Football accumulator tips: Tepid affair predicted as Chelsea host United

We’ve had some top football nearly every day this week so we thought we’d keep the party going with the action on the weekend, specifically the fixtures on Sunday. We’ve got games from the Premier League, Ligue 1, Bundesliga and Serie to name a few to look forward to at the end of the week and we’re going to have a pick from each of those leagues for our Sunday acca.
Chelsea v Man Utd - Under 2.5 goals
Starting things off with the Premier League. Chelsea vs Man Utd is the main game for a lot of people and it’s the one that’s caught my attention the most. You’re getting above even money on each W/D/W market so it’s clear the bookies have got this down as quite a close game and rightfully so. Under Thomas Tuchel the new Chelsea haven’t been very generous when it comes to giving their opponents chances, conceding just two goals in the eight games under the German manager. I think under 2.5 goals is the play for this game given the influence Tuchel has had on this side. The last time these two sides played it was a bore draw at 0-0 and I certainly wouldn’t be shocked to see that happen again, you’re currently getting 10/11 for under 2.5 goals in the game and I think it’s a good selection for our acca.
Lyon to beat Marseille
With my second pick, I’m going all the way to France and taking a look at the Marseille vs Lyon game later on in the day. Lyon are currently on a three-game win streak in the league and are 17 points ahead of Marseille heading into this one, and a win for the visitors could potentially see them go top of the table depending on Lille’s result earlier in the day. I’d be pretty confident in going for a Lyon win considering the quality difference between the sides this season. Marseille have not kept a clean sheet in their last nine games against their opponents for this weekend and with Lyon getting the first goal in six of their last seven games, we could see a fast start from them here, which could lead to things getting out of control for the home side fairly quickly.
Bayer Leverkusen to beat Freiburg
Third up is as promised, a look at the Bundesliga which has been fairly competitive this season. One of the teams vying for a spot in the top six is Bayer Leverkusen who are currently in 5th place, just ahead of Borussia Dortmund. Leverkusen will be hosting Freiburg in the 5pm kick-off and whilst I think the ‘home advantage’ isn’t as notable this season without any fans in attendance, they must be doing something right as they’ve only managed to lose two of their last 13 games at home in the Bundesliga. Leverkusen have also not lost in their last seven meetings against Freiburg which gives me even more confidence in backing the home win at around 4/6.
Napoli to beat Benevento
And finally getting on to the Serie A where I’ll be looking at Napoli’s fixture against Benevento. Form suggests Napoli might struggle with this one as they’ve lost two of their last four games in the Italian top-flight but I think the difference in quality is just going to be too much for Benevento. At the time of writing this, Napoli have won four of their last five games at Diego Armando Maradona Stadium with a goal difference of +11 across those games. Benevento have struggled massively this season and are currently in 15th place in the league; they’re currently winless in their last seven matches and haven’t won an away game in the league since early January. Napoli are a very short price at 1/3 but it rounds up our acca very nicely leaving us with a bet that returns just over 6/1 with PaddyPower.
