Football Accumulator Tips: Stick with Cancelo in the shots market

There are six games taking place in the Premier League on Saturday with important clashes at both ends of the table. Our resident tipster @AnthonyEadson has provided us with his best Bet Builder tips for Saturday’s action, which this week both come from the same game at Goodison Park.
Two selections have caught his eye in the Everton vs Manchester City match and at the time of writing, when combined as a double the pair pay 9/1 via the Paddy Power bet builder feature. You can add the double directly to your betslip by clicking the link below.
Bet Builder Tips
The first half of Saturday’s bet builder double is Dominic Calvert-Lewin to be carded, which is available at 4/1 for those wanting to back as a single. Betfair and Paddy Power are currently best-priced on the striker picking up a booking and he’s been shown a yellow card against Saturday’s opponents in two of the last three seasons.
The Everton and England striker has missed a large proportion of the season through injury and is yet to get on the scoresheet since making his return to the side in January. In the 2019/2020 season Calvert-Lewin was shown nine yellow cards in 36 appearances in the league before picking up three last season.
Everton currently find themselves 16th in the table just two points above the relegation zone coming into this game and Frank Lampard’s men are going to have to put in a monumental effort on Saturday if they are to get anything from this game against City.
No team in Europe is averaging higher possession per game this season than Manchester City with 67.9%. With this in mind, it bodes well for Everton’s attackers having to do more defensive work than usual, which can hopefully lead to a card for Calvert-Lewin who’s averaged one foul per game or higher in all of the last three seasons.
Another positive here for card-backers is that Paul Tierney takes the whistle for this game. Last season Tierney ranked 1st of the 19 Premier League referees when it came to yellows per game shown, with an average of 3.8.
Paired with Calvert-Lewin to be carded will be Joao Cancelo to have 2+ shots in the match. Manchester City’s left-back has let off a remarkable amount of shots this season (57) which ranks him in the top 10 players in the league!
That’s more than Bruno Fernandes and easily ranks him as the top defender for shots taken this season, a whopping 20 ahead of his closest challenger Trent Alexander-Arnold (37).
Over his 24 appearances this season Cancelo has averaged 2.38 shots per game and managed six in his last appearances against Spurs, as well as five the week before against Brentford.
Everton have lost their last nine games in all competitions against Pep Guardiola’s side and I don’t see that run ending on Saturday. Combining Cancelo to have 2+ shots with Calvert-Lewin to be carded pays a tasty 9/1 thanks to the algorithm behind Paddy Power’s bet builder feature, with the same double just over 5/1 over at bet365.
