There’s still plenty left to play for at both ends of the Premier League table as we approach the final stages of the season. This weekend brings Gameweek 34 with five fixtures taking place on Saturday. After a 7/4 winner which landed after 20 minutes on Wednesday, we’ve once again asked @AnthonyEadson to provide us with his best Bet Builder picks.
Two selections make up a 21/10 double this weekend, with the first of those being from Leicester vs Aston Villa before a London derby between Brentford and Spurs.
Bet Builder Tips
Leicester will have been disappointed to concede a late equaliser at Goodison Park midweek and now they face an Aston Villa side who come into this game fresh off the back of a two week break.
On Wednesday evening I recommended James Maddison to have a shot on target against the Toffees and he duly obliged, letting off five attempts in total, two of which hit the target. I’m going with the same selection once again on Saturday which is available at 8/11 for those who fancy the single on Over 0.5 Maddison shots on target.
After Wednesday’s game, Maddison has now recorded 20 shots on target in his last 18 starts in the league and averages a healthy 1.2 shots on target per 90 minutes over the course of this season.
Villa have not been in the best of form recently under Steven Gerrard losing four games on the bounce. Despite their opposition having a lot more time to prepare for this match, Leicester should still be looking to put in a big performance in front of their own fans and with Villa having allowed their opponents over 10 shots in their last four matches, I can see Maddison getting in on the action and hitting the target at least once on Saturday.
Another player who regular readers of my ramblings will have noticed I’ve been drawn towards in the shots markets recently is Brentford’s Christian Eriksen. I’ll be taking him to have Over 1.5 shots against Spurs, although I am a little disappointed to see his price has shortened a couple of points in comparison to recent weeks.
However, Eriksen is a man in good form at the moment who appears to be really enjoying his football at Brentford and I still think there’s some juice left in this price. In his last four matches Eriksen’s shot figures read, 2,2,2,3, hitting the target with five of those.
Brentford are on a strong run of form at the moment having won five of their last six in the Premier League, and they can cause Spurs problems here, just as they have with other big sides when taking points off Liverpool and Chelsea this season. Since Eriksen’s first start for the Bees, only Jurgen Klopp’s side have earned more points in the division (16). All things considered here 21/10 looks a good price with bet365 considering their recent shooting data. Best of luck to anyone following. Please gamble responsibly.
