Football Accumulator Tips: Blackburn and PSV to grab the win for Wednesday's Acca
We have Carabao Cup action as well as Champions League play-off ties on Wednesday evening to enjoy and here at bettingodds.com we’ve put together our favourite fancies into an acca which pays 13/2 with bet365.
Acca Tips
Blackburn to beat Harrogate
The first in our quartet of selections on Wednesday is for Blackburn Rovers to win away at Harrogate. Jon Dahl Tomasson is seeing his stock rise massively for the job he is doing at the club after instilling an attractive style of play as well as significantly improving the existing talent in the Blackburn ranks.
In the first round of the Carabao Cup Rovers put four past Walsall in a 4-3 victory that slightly flattered The Saddlers. Rovers have some talented players in their second-string such as Jon Buckley, Niall Ennis and Jake Garrett, all who were on the scoresheet in Round 1 and should feature again as these two sides face off for the first time in their history.
Nottingham Forest vs Burnley: BTTS
Nottingham Forest will know they need to improve their away form this season if they are to avoid another relegation battle and despite two losses away at Arsenal and Manchester United so far this term, there are some massive positives to take. Forest became the first ever side to be leading 2-0 at Old Trafford on Saturday but threw away a two goal lead. Striker Taiwo Awoniyi has now set a club record of scoring in seven consecutive top-flight matches and he may feature once again here against Premier League opposition.
Burnley have only played two league matches so far this term and have been beaten by Manchester City and Aston Villa. Vincent Kompany won’t be reading too much into those results, but one thing we have noticed is that in all five matches combined for Burnley and Forest this season Over 2.5 goals has landed. We think this will be a high-scoring affair with plenty of chances. The hosts are missing Scott McKenna and Joe Worrall in central defence which gives more scope for both teams getting on the scoresheet at The City Ground.
PSV to beat Rangers
PSV may look a little short in the match result at 2/5 with some firms, but they can get the job done and advance to the Champions League Group stage by beating Rangers. The Dutch side are out for revenge after suffering a 1-0 defeat in this fixture 12 months ago and have the benefit of not having a domestic game last weekend, giving them a full week to prepare for this second leg.
At Ibrox, the visitors dominated possession (69%), but were quite wasteful in-front of goal as they racked up 19 attempts in comparison to 11 from the visitors. Without their raucous home crowd acting as twelfth man, PSV can secure the victory.
FC Copenhagen to beat Rakow Czestochowa
The Danish side managed to take a single goal advantage back home after securing a 1-0 win in Poland last week. In this second leg at the Parken Stadium, the visitors will need to throw everything at Copenhagen which could well leave them exposed in defence.
Polish Champions Rakow Czestochowa have never made it to the Champions League Group stage and the experience of the home side in these sort of European knockout ties could be the difference between these two as they pick them off on the break.
