Saturday Accumulator Tips
Bournemouth To Beat Luton
We start down on the south coast where a vastly-improved Bournemouth have transformed into one of the most in form teams in the Premier League with 13 points from their last 15 available.
During this remarkable run, The Cherries have swatted aside Man Utd, Newcastle, Crystal Palace, and Bournemouth, while they came agonisingly close to beating Aston Villa who scored a last gasp equaliser.
Much of the praise goes to Andoni Iraola who, after a slow start, has got his side cooking with Luton next on his hit list. The Hatters have put in some creditable performances against Arsenal and Man City, but agonisingly lost both by a single goal. Away from home they've struggled, losing seven of their nine games, including the last three in a row.
Everton To Beat Burnley
Saturday's 5.30pm match pits Burnley against Everton, live on Sky Sports.
Like Bournemouth, Everton have roared into life in recent weeks, claiming three consecutive wins to nil over Forest, Newcastle, and Chelsea. In fact, Sean Dyche's side have won six of their last eight games in all competitions, which includes three straight wins on the road.
As for Burnley, they may have beaten Sheffield United 5-0, but that result is very much an anomaly on their own patch, where they’ve lost all of their other seven games in front of their fans, with an eighth defeat very much a possibility when their former boss returns on Saturday.
Southampton To Beat Blackburn Rovers
No team in England is enjoying a longer unbeaten run than Southampton, who have gone 13 games without a defeat dating back to September.
The Saints head into Saturday's game off the back of two draws away from home, but back on home soil they can count on a brilliant recent record of four straight wins and 16 points from their last six at St Mary's.
Blackburn are knocking on the play-off door, although consistency has been a thorn in the side for the Lancashire outfit this season, with Jon Dahl Tomasson's troops remarkably either winning or losing each of their last 20 matches since a 1-1 draw on the opening day of the season.
St Mary's is a difficult place to visit right now, and while Rovers will no doubt push the Saints all the way, we fancy the hosts to edge this one as they try and put the pressure on the teams at the top of the table.
Bolton To Beat Bristol Rovers
Bolton may have fallen short in Monday's top-of-the-table clash away to Portsmouth, but there's absolutely no shame in losing that game to a very good Pompey side.
Prior to that, Bolton had been enjoying an 11-game unbeaten run, while they've won their last six in a row on home soil, which includes 7-0, 5-1, and 4-0 scorelines.
I now expect Ian Evatt's side to return to winning ways at home to Bristol Rovers, who are winless in their last three League One games, and have lost four of their last six on the road.
Stevenage To Beat Exeter
Our fifth and final selection also comes from League One where we're backing third-placed Stevenage to dispatch of struggling Exeter down in 20th.
Stevenage have barely looked back since winning promotion under Steve Evans last season. The Boro haven't been defeated in 12 games in any competition, stretching back to mid-October, winning five and drawing one of their last six League One games.
In sharp contrast, Exeter are experiencing a woeful run of form, picking up two points from the last 33 on offer. They've been on the wrong end of a couple of devastating scorelines in the form of a 9-0 defeat to Reading (cup) and 7-0 loss to Bolton in their last away game.
The Grecians have lost their last five straight league games on the road and we don't expect their fortunes to change away to inform Stevenage.
