St. Johnstone v Inverness Caledonian Thistle - Home Win
We start north of the border and the Scottish Premiership play-offs between St Johnstone and Inverness. The tie is locked at 2-2 after the first leg, following a dramatic late comeback from Caley, after being 2-0 down in the first half. Mcdiarmid Park in Perth will be buzzing for this one as The Saints attempt to stay in the Premiership for a club record 14th straight season.
Manager Callum Davidson will be hugely encouraged by the stats from the first leg at the Caledonian Stadium; even though St Johnstone had less possession, they created far more with the ball, creating 24 shooting chances to ICT's six and seven shots on target to Caley's two. Surely at home and under the lights they can create more chances and have too much for Inverness. I'm backing them to do so.
Notts County v Grimsby Town - Home Win
Another big playoff match awaits us south of the border in the East Midlands. The National League playoffs get under way with an eliminator match between Notts County and Grimsby Town. These two sides finished fifth and sixth in the league this year and the winners of this one will go on to face Wrexham in the Semi Finals.
County ended the season on better form than Town, having won six of their last seven. Grimsby were not in bad form by any stretch, having lost just one of their last ten games themselves. The Magpies though, are free scoring this campaign having scored 81 goals to Grimsby's 68 and at home, should have too much firepower for the Mariners.
Hamburg SV v Hertha Berlin - Home Win
Yet another massive match is happening in Germany - this time the 2nd leg of the Bundesliga play-offs between current incumbents Hertha Berlin and 2. Bundesliga side SV Hamburg. As predicted in last weeks column, Hamburg took a shock first leg lead by beating Berlin 1-0 away from home.
Hertha really struggled in the second half of the season, winning just three games this calendar year. In contrast, Hamburg enter this one is superb form, winning six straight and seven of the last eight. Again I'm going with the team in form.
Drogheda United v Shamrock Rovers - Away Win
Our last pick is the shortest price pick of the day. Shamrock are in terrific form at the top of the Irish Premier League, unbeaten in 13 and have won nine of their last ten. Drogheda on the other hand, are second bottom and have lost four of their last five.
