Five Potential Summer Transfers 2023: Quintet of prospective player moves we want to see

We're now in the midst of every football fan's favourite time of the year: the summer transfer window. During the off season every year, people dare to dream about the new recruits their clubs could sign, or in other cases, the prized assets they hope their teams can retain.
Summer 2023 has already proven to be no exception, with speculation rife and activity already taking place. So strap yourselves in as we explore the five potential player moves that we would be most excited to see happen, as well as the odds for each prospective deal being completed come September 1st.
Harry Kane - Bayern Munich
German powerhouse Bayern Munich believe they can sign Tottenham forward Harry Kane this summer. Kane transfer speculation is no new conversation but the more time he spends at Spurs, the stronger the departure rumours grow.
Manchester United would like to keep him on domestic soil, hoping to solve their ongoing striker problem. The reported £100m fee remains the prohibitive factor to any deal being struck between the Lilywhites and a fellow Premier League competitor.
The advent of Harry Kane at the Allianz Arena would finally fill the void left by Robert Lewandowski's departure to Barcelona 12 months prior. Additionally, we could also see the best of Sadio Mane in a Bayern shirt, who made his switch from Liverpool red to Bayern's shade last summer.
Of course the pending Premier League goal record remains the big roadblock standing in Kane's way of a move abroad, but Kane himself will be weighing up his personal accolades against the ticking clock of a trophy-less career so far.
Thomas Tuchel has had both domestic and European success in several environments, which coupled with Munich's undeniable pedigree, could tempt Kane to take a new challenge on Foreign land.
Neymar - Chelsea
Following Chelsea's dismal 2022/23 campaign, things can't get much worse.
The arrival of Mauricio Pochettino already has fans dreaming big, and the Blues are expected to spend heavily again this summer with their new head coach at the wheel.
After seeing the PSG hype train somewhat derailed by the sale of Lionel Messi and superstar Kylian Mbappe's seemingly untenable position at the club, Neymar may see this as his time to swiftly exit the French capital.
Chelsea have been long admirers of the mercurial Brazilian who burst onto the scene at Santos in his native Sao Paulo. The Londoners would be the most viable club to secure his signature, and in many ways, the only realistic destination for him should he want to take a swing at the Premier League.
They have the gravitas and spending power to facilitate a transfer, as well as an existing dressing room packed full of egos that Neymar would seamlessly slot into.
Depending on how you interpret their former relationship, familiarity with his former Paris St-Germain coach would either shatter or strengthen the chances of a switch to West London.
Victor Osimhen - Manchester United
As mentioned in the context of a move for Harry Kane, Man Utd are in desperate need of a prolific forward.
Since the club gambled on the promised return of Cristiano Ronaldo, Erik ten Hag has offered up numerous temporary measures to fix The Red Devils' issue.
Finding a potential David De Gea replacement appears to be high up on their priority list this summer, but that shouldn't come at the expense of signing an out-and-out striker.
Victor Osimhen is a name that has been touted around the red side of Manchester and why wouldn't he be. The 24-year-old struck 31 goals in 38 games in Serie A and the Champions League for Napoli last term, establishing himself as a must-have for Europe's elite.
The likely nine-figured sum United would have to cough up does significantly reduce the chances of us seeing the Nigerian turning out at Kenilworth Road or Turf Moor in wintery conditions this season, but it wouldn't be the first unexpected mega money move to blow off our socks.
Randal Kolo Muani - PSG
Eintracht Frankfurt's Randal Kolo Muani is a player who could help usher in a new era in the city of love for the capital's titans.
With Lionel Messi already sold to the MLS and speculation continuing to brew surrounding Neymar and Kylian Mbappe's futures, Muani is the type of astute signing the French side should execute.
The Frenchman is already familiar with the league and Paris, having been born roughly 20km away in Bondy.
Drawing comparisons to the legend Thierry Henry, Muani has transitioned from a quick, tricky wide player into a centre forward with a sharp eye for goal.
PSG's ambitions will not stray from achieving European glory, and Muani fits the bill for taking a slightly different approach of signing emerging talent, while joining a club who can give him the platform to personally level up.
Federico Chiesa - Newcastle
Back among Europe's most elite, a new era for Newcastle is upon us. Securing Champions League football in his first full season in charge on Tyneside will give Eddie Howe an enhanced transfer kitty, in addition to the fish in a larger talent pool for signings.
Milan's Sandro Tonali will seemingly be the first of these to sign up to the Magpie revolution, and a signing like Federico Chiesa would prove similarly fruitful.
The Juventus 25-year-old winger could miss out on playing European football entirely should he remain in Turin this season following Juve's pending Europa Conference League qualification in August.
Meanwhile, at St. James' Park, there's an undeniable buzz and bag loads of cash to boot. Juventus' troubles may continue, where as Newcastle's star can only grow.
Considering that Jacob Murphy featured in 36 of the Toon's 38 PL matches last term, an upgrade in this position feels necessary to meet the requirements of European football and season upon season improvement.
Liverpool are also believed to be admirers and remain the 7/2 favourites to secure his signature, while Newcastle represent a 5/1 shot.
