Everton vs Liverpool Prediction and Starting Lineups: Two betting tips tonight at Goodison Park

Kick-off is fast approaching in the rescheduled Merseyside derby between Everton and Liverpool Goodison Park, which kicks-off in under an hour at 7.30pm, live on TNT Sports 1.
Both teams suffered disappointing FA Cup exits at the weekend, but Everton can draw on a three game-winning run in the Premier League, while Liverpool are looking to extend their top-flight unbeaten streak to 20 matches.

Everton vs Liverpool Predictions
A shock defeat at Plymouth in the FA Cup on Sunday will have reminded Liverpool that any thoughts they had about cantering to success on all fronts this season are more than a little premature.
With games coming thick and fast, perhaps avoiding more fixtures in the form of another domestic trophy is a blessing in disguise but they’ll be keen to get back on track on Wednesday.
Hoping to further dent their season are bitter Merseyside rivals Everton, and the Toffees scoring seven goals in their last two games at home will have fans believing that they can repeat last season’s victory in this fixture, which is the last meeting between the two at Goodison Park.
A game between such big rivals should be combative and so tackles feels a good place to land for a bet. With Trent Alexander-Arnold potentially missing with injury, an intriguing battle could be on the cards between Iliman Ndiaye and Connor Bradley down Everton’s left-hand side.
Ndiaye has been Everton’s best player this season, and with Dominic Calvert-Lewin out injured, he has stepped up his goal contributions in recent weeks. He’s also been very busy defensively, making at lest two tackles in all five starts under his new boss at an average of 2.52 per 90. He will have to support Mykolenko in containing Mo Salah who has drawn 1.76 tackles per 90 this season.
Bradley himself has made 2.71 tackles per 90 in his limited action this season and will be keen to impress and convince Arne Slot that he is the man to replace Alexander-Arnold long term, should he head to Real Madrid as expected. He’s made at least two tackles in each of his eight starts across all competitions this season.
The contest with Ndiaye is also likely to produce plenty of tackles as the winger has been dispossessed 1.74 times per 90 in the Premier League with the majority of his opposing right backs covering this line this season.

Having been a constant threat going forward for Liverpool this season, Cody Gakpo looks overpriced for a headed shot.
17% of his 42 Premier League shots have come via his head with the majority of those occurring in open play as he looks to attack the back post from wide areas. He’s found the back of the net on four occasions with headers across all competitions too and so confidence should be high that he can get on the scoresheet in the air.
Everton have conceded 13 shots per game since Moyes’ return and whilst not many of those shots have come from headers, they have given up 1.11xg from set pieces in those matches, suggesting that there may be a weakness defending restarts, something that Liverpool and Gakpo could expose.
Having been given the weekend off, the Dutchman can be expected to play most of the game against Everton and when you add in that he landed this bet in his only appearance against Everton in 2023, it looks a nice price to attack.
