European Masters Snooker Odds: Neil Robertson to continue his winning streak

European Masters Snooker Tips
There's more snooker on the menu at BettingOdds.com and this week we've got the final stages of the European Masters. The event was meant to be held at the Stadthalle Fürth in Fürth but rising Covid rates means the event has been switched to the Marshall Arena in Milton Keynes. We've asked our own boy of the baize @OddsTerrier to preview the tournament and pick out his best two bets for the tournament.
We've got a stellar field for the European Masters this week with all the big names from snooker involved. This tournament started way back in October last year where the qualifying took place in Staffordshire. The last 64 starts on Monday with the final being held on Sunday 27th February. Mark Selby is the reigning champion and will be looking to ignite his season, by retaining his title, after a struggle so far. The Jester from Leicester has only reached one semi final so far this term and will be desperate to reclaim some form here. There are also plenty of other star names in the betting including Judd Trump, Neil Robertson, Ronnie O'Sullivan and John Higgins. They will be fighting it out for the £80,000 winners cheque and the title of European Master.

My first pick is the 2nd Favourite for the title and the form player in World Snooker right now, Neil Robertson. Heading the betting at 4/1 is Englishman Judd Trump, but I like the look of Robertson at 9/2 to prevail here. The 40-year-old Australian is having a stellar year, picking up his third title of the year last week at the Players Championship to follow the Masters and the English Open, as well as reaching the final of the World Grand Prix. The Thunder from Down Under admitted this week that the pressure is now off and he's just playing for fun. The win at the Masters extended his record of winning a tournament every year back to 2006, which is a stunning justification of his longevity and consistency. On his way to his latest two triumphs, Robertson has beaten Barry Hawkins(twice), Ronnie O'Sullivan(twice), Mark Williams and Kyren Wilson amongst other names, so he isn't scraping into the finals via an easy draw.
He has won 23 of 28 matches this season and 147 of 241 frames. He's also smashed in 31 centuries in those 241 frames. Robertson is in cracking form and I've no reason to see why he won't go to the very late stages here too.
My second pick is on Barry Hawkins each way. The 42-year-old Englishman is another form player, having been beaten in the final of the Players by Robertson last week, and by the same player in the final of the Masters back in January. He also made the semi final of the UK Championship, where again he was beaten by the eventual champion Zhao Xintong. Hawkins has won 19 of 34 games this year and accumulated 14 century breaks along the way. The Hawk has only three ranking wins to his name and the last one of those was back in 2017 at the World Grand Prix, but he's clearly in the form of his life and I can see him making the Semi Finals at least here.
At 25/1 I'll be having a small stake on him to do so.
If you follow either of these selections then good luck and enjoy the snooker.
